Hope this isn't asking too much as I'm just new here, but I was wondering if anyone could help me gain a little insight into what the future may hold for myself and another who I have shared many wonderful times, much love and many dramas with since August 2000.... Seems neither of us have benefitted much from the dramas - my desire is to alleviate them, but it seems I've done all I can to do so - and while she states how much she wants to fix the problems, she seems unable to do what she states she wants to in actions. There are many examples in her life where she has neglected desires of her heart to justify her own inactions... everyone around her knows she can be very stubborn. To compound things, when I walk away, she comes back to my life restating intention to make things better, but not providing action again. I live in hope that she will give our situation some healing and help us regain the positivity we once had, or maybe greater - in any format - but i live without such healing, and see her also worse off for mistakes she acknowledges but has been yet to correct or show any sign of learning from. She seems a lot more intent on proving herself right, even if sometimes she even contradicts herself. She can make me feel better and worse than anyone in the world. But she is very special to me.
So can anyone tell me if I should hold out for her to make things any better? Should I even care? Or should I learn a lesson and walk away? help!
She's a virgo, born 25 August 1981 (in adelaide australia i believe), me a leo, 15 August 1978 (in melbourne australia )....
thanks in advance, happy to give more details where necessary...
take care all, hope you're all bound for a good day!

Hi Ragamuffin

Can you let me have both of your times of birth??
As those are necessary to be really accurate.
Thanks

Sue

Hi Ragamuffin

Thanks for the info. Yes it does help a lot
For an accurate interpretation we really need both birth times. As her birth time will give us her ascendant - which will show which house her birth chart begins with...hope that makes sense But I'll just use a default time of 12 noon for her.

Chat later

Dramas are seldom pleasant, but sometimes they are the best way we can learn from each other.

Hi Ragamuffin

I'm taking a look at your synastry charts now, so will come back to you on that.

However, when I read your post I just knew that your girlfriend would have Mars square Pluto in her natal chart.......I've since checked her chart...and she has!!
This aspect alone explains why she behaves the way you say she does......

Pluto Aspecting Mars:
Those with the stressful aspects (the square is a stressful aspect) don’t fight half way. The effect is similar to having Mars in the sign of Scorpio. In any fight, their motto is "Win at any cost". These people would probably do well in any profession that requires eliminating or destroying something. And, of course, they have to be careful of their temper, which tends to be on the volcanic side. The stressful aspects give a tendency to destroy whatever they are working on before it is finished

Whenever you look at two peoples charts, as well as comparing how the charts will "work" together it's important to also look at the individual natal charts - these will show how each person behaves.

ok so in saying that. Your girlfriend has all her planets (except for Neptune) "above the horizon" (ie: top half of her chart.
You on the other hand have all of your planets "below the horizon" (ie: bottom half of your chart).

Here's how that works.....

Top or Bottom
The top half of the horoscope (also called the southern half) represents the part of us that is easily visible. The bottom half (the northern section) shows the part of us that tends to be less visible.

People with top heavy charts tend to be more public, to be more visible out there in the world.

People with the majority of planets on the bottom half tend to be more private, but this doesn’t mean that they don’t ever have public lives They are what used to be called "inner directed". Every now and then, they notice that there is a world "out there" and then they can make a terrific impact because nothing anyone else says can make any real impact on their decisions.

Now another interesting thing in your natal chart is that you have an Unaspected Jupiter and also an Unaspected Uranus......
A planet is considered to be unaspected when it makes no MAJOR aspect to another planet in your chart. The orbs (degrees) allowed for this are up to no more that 8 degrees.

I'll post some info about that, as you may find it interesting

Gosh reading your post made me sad. I have the same problem with an Aries. Since day one it's been and on and off situation and DRAMA like you say. It might be my stubborness but his hard headed self doesnt help the situation any either. Like you weve had some great times together, but I think sometimes if it is all really worth it. Anyhow I don't know much about astrology but I tell you this much i feel your pain. I'll keep you in my thoughts and hope things get better between the two of you.
Love,
Honeybeez

Hi Ragamuffin

OK here's a brief look at some of the aspects when I compare your two charts.
Sue

Sun conjunct Mercury
There's a good understanding between the two of you. You have intellectual interests in common and the same type of curiosity.

Sun trine Moon
This is an excellent aspect for a relationship. You should understand, appreciate, love and complement each other.

Sun conjunct Saturn
As a couple you should be quite stable. Friendship slowly replacing love. Saturn (you) will dominate the Sun (her) but she might find this difficult to accept. In any case, as the Sun (she) likes to feel secure, Saturn (you) are a perfect partner.

Moon square Venus
You are very attracted to to one another, have enjoy being in being together, but conflicts could arise possibily because of unfaithfulness.

Moon square Mars
Passions that could well lead to conflicts, even violent ones not only verbal but also, unfortunately, sometimes physical.

Venus conjunct Mars
This is a relationship that is particularly based on physical understanding, passionate love.

Mars conjunct Jupiter
As a couple you should be in harmony, even if you're different you complement each other perfectly and understand each other very well.

Venus conjunct Saturn
This relationship could be very good and lasting, if Venus (you) are really looking for a Saturn (her).

Mercury square Neptune
This aspect can bring illusions, and therefore also disappointments will follow. It can cause you to not really understand each other and if you live together, it may be with lies and deception.

Mars conjunct Saturn
A life together without any problems, love will develop into friendship, you'll understand each other and go well together.
This aspect helps you both to be faithful.

Venus conjunct Jupiter
A very successful relationship. A couple that is happy to be alive, and to live together, with a pleasant family and home, total confidence in each other, intellectual understanding, similar tastes.

Sun trine Neptune
You will be greatly attracted by each other, not necessarily physically. With the problems of everyday life, this love could vanish and you'll each will no longer understand what you found so attractive in the other.

Mars conjunct Jupiter
As a couple you will be in harmony, even if you are different you complement each other perfectly and understand each other very well.

Mercury square Uranus
This aspect can create no intellectual understanding, so you don't understand each other. Living together, there will be disputes and insupportable tension.

Venus conjunct Venus
Very good aspect for a successful relationship. Love, happiness, understanding, everything for getting on well together.

Sun sextile Pluto
It's love-at-first-sight, the great passion. You'll be drawn to each other like two magnets, you'll always have to see and touch each other. Very good sexual understanding, typically very passionate. It must be said that this type of relationship doesn't always last forever, and doesn't always develop into a quiet and tender love and even less so into friendship. One of you may suffer when the passion of the other dies, it will be a very difficult time to live through.

Jupiter trine Uranus
This relationship union can be very good, if you both mutually respect each other. You both like your independence and freedom of thought and action.

Ok...as you can see there are "conflicting" aspects. This is normal in charts. Just because their is a possibilty of something happening doesn't always mean it will. It just means that the potential is there. All problems can be overcome if that's what you both want

Randall

I am "an expert" on that aspect
My ex (we were together for 12 years) had that aspect in his chart. PLUS his Mars was in Scorpio.....

And one of my girlfriends has it......

I can recognise it a mile away

Methinks you are living up to that astrology signature in your chart.

Cat - thankyou so much! You went to so much work and I really do appreciate it. It's kind of interesting with the conflicts - I thought most of them could apply at onetime or another, I guess that's where I'm having trouble understanding her - consistency. sometimes her actions are so contradictory and when she decides to be she's great, but sometimes she will treat me very poorly when she gets insecure about us or what people may think of us or what "Should happen" between us - sometimes the problem is us getting on too well. If I had hurt her I could understand it maybe that she wouldn't want to be drawn in, but the only thing ever stopping us getting on well is when she gets that way. She rarely recognizes her own ability to affect change upon her life situation in a positive way, upon changing her problems, upon accomplishing her dreams or relinquishing unhappiness when it is needless. I guess the fact that she unhappily puts herself in such situations which she doesn't enjoy seems senseless to me when alternatives exist but for lack of choosing them.
Who knows whether the future will be any different. I can only hope...
But thanks - that was really great Cat. Honeybeez - thanks for your care too.
Take care and have a great day!

Hi Ragamuffin

You're welcome.
You know, that Mars square Pluto aspect is a "control" thing really. That's probably why it really "kicks in" when she's feeling insecure

I'm going to post that info for you re the two unaspected planets in your natal chart.
It'll probably be over the weekend.

Hi Ragamuffin
Hope you're having a good weekend

Here's that info I promised you.
Sue

These are taken from a book by Karen Hamaker-Zondag.

Unaspected Jupiter
The desire for expansion, extension and grandeur really spreads its wings when Jupiter is unaspected. The religious faculties are well developed, too, although the individual may not attend a regular place of worship - for the native with a strong Jupiter is naturally opinionated and prefers to follow the dictates of his own conscience regardless of what the authorities direct. He is likely too magnify the importance of everything and to do everything in grand style. He may accomplish a great deal, but also runs considerable risks, especially where health is concerned. The enjoyment of rich food is a Jovian characteristic and, when Jupiter is unaspected, this can easily become overindulgence.
Jupiter works to expand knowledge and understanding, and it is a great promoter of philosophy. When the planet is unaspected, the native may espouse some rather bizzaire philosophy or soar to rarefied metaphysical heights were none can follow. The data gathered is comprehensive, there is extensive knowledge but, either the native manages to make one gigantic synthesis of it all even when some parts are not entirely relevant, or over shoots the mark and litters the field with a lot of stray arrows. This person is always active, however, and will infallibly arrive at some philosophy of life or other. Theories and ideas can be extremely stimulating, but seldom satisfy, and though his soul "sail leagues and leagues beyond - still, leagues beyond those leagues, there is more sea" (Rossetti's poem "The Choice")
An unaspected Jupiter may indicate someone who has an inflated self-opinion. Yes these intensely human religious feelings can make this person very charitable and protective and willing to help others. With boundless (and not always well-justified) optimism, he can put fresh heart into other people. Jovian professions will appeal, and he could make a fine priest, physician, teacher, or attorney.

Unaspected Uranus
Normally the contents of the trans-Saturian planets are beyond the reach of our conscious minds. So, for other reasons, are those of unaspected planets. Therefore trans-Saturian planets differ from the aspected ones mainly in the extreme way in which they express themselves, with an accent of heightened activity.

Unaspected Uranus goes hand in hand with great restlessness, an almost compulsive need for independence, and sudden inventive ideas. The need to break the mold and to cross the boundaries is very acute and can lead to rebellion, provocation, mutinousness, controversy and a liking for whatever is unusual or alternative. Personal originality and resourcefulness are very pronounced. Often there are flashes of inspiration in which all sorts of possibilities are seen. For example, completely unconventional solutions to technical problems may be found by the individual with an unaspected Uranus. This native may have brainstorms that are also very practical. Someone with an unaspected Uranus is uncommonly restless and cannot sit still for long. Difficulties and tensions are likely to make him nervy. Therefore leading characteristics will be restlessness, nervousness, capriciousness, and sporadic brilliant hunches. Any attempt to tie him down would be asking for trouble, but, if allowed freedom within reasonable bounds, he will do well and will reward us with all sorts of good ideas. When Uranus is unaspected we are in for one or two surprises, some of them pleasant and some of them not so pleasant.

The native's insights frequently verge on the paranormal and it is sometimes hard to tell how he arrived at a certain conclusion. Apparently he just "knew it all along" or "suddenly saw it." Paranormal cognition is quite common with unaspected trans-Saturian planets.

It is the nature of Uranus to demolish old values in order to replace them with new ones. When unaspected, the planet can stress this iconoclastic principle, making the native on one hand a free spirit and, on the other, a fervent advocate of social reconstruction. His outlook is thoroughly modern, and he grants others the freedom and opportunities for development he so avidly seeks for himself.

We should not be surprised if someone with an unaspected Uranus suddenly changes course, perhaps in career, once or twice during his life: he has such a yearning for new pastures. He may seem tense and unsettled, but feels happiest when living a varied existence full of change. Internal restlessness and external hustle and bustle are all part of the same picture.
