Before I get started, please, please note that it is not my wish to offend anyone and I will do my best to phrase everything with the good intent I mean.
I was wondering where it fits in, can there be two souls mate men or women? I ask because I have a really strange connection with someone who is gay, and that got me thinking, is it (as scientists say) a chromazone hick-up (no offence) that wont allow people to ever be attracted to the opposite sex, or do you think people could still fall in love with someone's personality and the effect it has on them?
I really dont know as Im not gay, and am at a loss. I need another mind to help me out on this one.
Id be happy to hear any opinions on the subject.

hi amber,

welcome to the website!

each person has a soul mate family , and of course each member can be male or female. in fact, soul mates can be within familes, friendships, aquaintances, and lovers. a common theme i have seen are parent-child ones . . . and of course each person could be of the same gender! Mother-Daughter, Father-Son.

hopes this helps somewhat with your inquiry.

My questions has nothing to do with anything on homosexuality but I do have a question regarding soul mate of the same family.

My dad and I are very close. We talk on the telephone everyday, even though we live in different states.

Is my dad my soul mate or am I his?

My birthday is May 4, 1967 7:38 am Chicago, IL.

My dad's birthday is May 14, 1941 Greenwood Mississippi. I don't know his time of birth.

I also have a best friend with whom I have been friends since 6th grade. Her birthday is July 7, 1967 in Chicago, IL. I don't know her time of birth. Is she my soul mate or am I hers. I am totally straight and there is not any attraction between my best friend or I. I just feel very emotionally connected. I feel like she understands my pain and I was just wondering if there were any astrological reasons why we were still friends.

I don't have many close friends and it is very easy for me to let friends go when they treat me badly or I no longer respect them.

Thanks

Hi Amber
I don't know what your beliefs are but here's my thoughts.
When a Soul re-incarnates, it's for a purpose. I once read somewhere that for every Soul that's born here on Earth, there where 10,000 other Souls really wanting that position. So in order to be "re-born" that Soul had a very important "reason/mission".
I also believe we are here to learn/grow. Now sometimes in order to do that we may "choose" to change gender. We may need to experience this life time as a man as opposed to a woman or visa versa.
Sue

PS: Here's some food for thought......
Souls maybe do not "fit" into the Human way of thinking ie: you have to be male or female.

Hi Blue
Well my thoughts are that I don't think Soul Mates can be a one sided thing. So a "Soul Mate" is a "Soul Mate" for both of you.
Does that make sense?

hi Blue M,

i would highly recommend reading linda goodman's "Relationship Signs." reading her work personally will probably help you understand more in-depth the close relationships you share on a past life, karmic level.

in this work, linda does not entirely focus on romantic relationships, she also writes about everyday relationships, just like the ones you described.

best.

Hello,

I can truly and honestly say that I have been lucky enough to have met a few of my Soul Mates of BOTH sexes.
The misconception is that people seem to isolate genders. A soul is a soul. It knows no sex. I don't understand why people freak out by putting a lot of emphasis on same sex mates as being something totally weird or sexual. I truly feel that we need to stop the fear of a same sex mate possibility. We all have free will. If you feel it that deeply with someone to take it to a sexual level, it is a matter of PERSONAL choice!
My experiences have been absolutely phenomenal! For one, I don't close myself off by freaking out if another woman surfaces. People MISS their mate's blessing and lesson's that way. It is a beautiful existence when you ALLOW natural flow to take precedence, including the little things in between that assists in your personal growth. This is what we should be looking at. A soul is a soul. Treat them like the special beings they are.
The ultimate lesson is about UNconditional Love!

Peace everyone...

Hi Amber! Don't let the fact that your friend is gay discourage you from opening up and letting the connection be there. Everything everyone wrote has been true. Just because you are born in a body doesn't dictate who you will or won't be attracted to. The beauty of a soul shines so bright sometimes, you cannot see the body it's in!

Fajita,
You are so right! I just wish everyone was evolved enough to understand that fact.
Society has made everyone fearful.
People should not be so darn judgemental.
