My Journey (copyrighted)I stood upon a mountain
imploring the Earth
to swollow me into her womb
for comfort.
Her rumbling reply: "Your heart is not here". I called to the wind
begging the Air
to take me up to the sky
for release.
His whispering reply: "Your dreams are not here". I swam in the ocean
entreating the Waters
to engulf me
into serenity.
Her murmuring reply: "Your soul is not here". I reached for the Sun
beseeching the Fire
to comsume me
into completion.
His sizzling reply: "Your being is not here". I looked to the Moon
pleading with the light
to absorb me
into oblivion.
Her sighing reply: "Your spirit is not here". I came to you
with all that I am
asking you
to love me.
Your silent reply: "I cannot be here". I searched deep within myself
hoping beyond reality
to find
my heart
my dreams
my soul
my being
my spirit
The sobbing reply: "Here I am".

I do have some more poems. Most of them have to do with relationships I've had or wish I could have. Mushy stuff!
