the only strong aspect I see in your synastry is Neptune/Venus exact conjunction which makes you completly blindfold of what this relationship is about. It will be best if you move on this time instead to bounce back and forth between moods of opposite extreme every time he comes and leaves. I don`t see many negative aspects in your synastry, but I do not see many strong aspects either....
Saturn is transiting your 7th house of relationship now and it is the right time, like it or not (Saturn never asks), to clean up your emotional closet and be prepared for the next stage in your life...

Wow Bissie - I didn't know you were interested in astrology when I did your lexie! I kept hearing the word "chart" quite loudly!  Thanks for your input. I am soooo ready for the next stage. Hopeful,This person is very intense. This line comes into my mind when I look at his chart, "What lies beneath?" His Mars in Leo probably gets him into a lot of trouble with regard to his sexuality and tempestuous nature. He is a lot to handle, let's just say. His Mars in Leo squares his 4 planet Scorpio stellium and rules his 8th rules, whose cusp is in Aries. Virgo rising and Saturn peregrine in the 5th house (Capricorn on the cusp) will give him a cool impression when it comes to romance. But scratch that surface, and "MEOW"! His Venus in Scorpio is Retrograde in his stellium, be careful. He is attracted to your energy, and his Moon conjuncts your Vertex in the 8th house. That could explain the repeated contact over the years. Love and affection in a romantic sense is not easily expressed in this relationship. However, friendship is from what the composite indicates. Aphrodite - your interpretation rings very true! THere is a lot of intensity and we do have very good conversations. It's only recently that we started talking about feelings. He seems to get close and then run away scared - not sure what that's all about. It just happened last week and then he apologized. I think we are in a holding pattern right now.I'm just so scary.
