I wrote this to a friend today, and I realized that this could be the root to alot of my problems...I was talking about my sister Cathy being exactly like me in this aspect...just wondering if anyone else does this?

I mean...she and I both have this habit, we can pour ourselves into a person and give of ourselves 110%...we can love a person with all our mind and body and soul....we can make the world revolve around nothing else but that person...we can give and give and give and never ask for anything in return, except to be loved right back and to love just us...just me...noone else, I give you everything you need..never need anyone but me...but somehow or another, in doing this, we drive that person away...maybe they don't like being the object of our desire? the object of our affections? Why is it, that I can love someone yet, they want to be in other places, with other faces, and I'm not good enough anymore????

um and in the reference never need anyone but me, I mean that in a relationship type of way..like, if I'm your wife, then you dont' need any other women to fulfill the needs that I am taking care of ...I didn't mean it like, you can't love ANYONE else, family members etc...just, please don't want to be with other people sexually etc..

Ah, the old Women and Men Issues . . .

Carlo darling? I'd love your manly opinions here.

Amanda, eek. I'm on the other side of the coin. I, for some reason, am in the camp of women pursued by men in unhappy relationships. Oh, their laments "I wish I had met you sooner." They like racy, that's for sure.

What you stated is the problem in itself.....

"we can make the world revolve around nothing else but that person"

Personally, I wouldn't want anyone's world to revolve around me. I'm sorry if this offends you but it would scare me off and I would become bored. You need to find other interests and not put all your eggs in one basket so to speak.

Actually, Alena . . . my dear friend Bernadette has her Venus in Scorpio . . . so I suspect her love nature has more eternal, sensual qualities that spreading eggs around would never adequately achieve the same effect!

Loves ya Bernadette!

Aphrodite

and Alena,(and I take no offense to what you said, I want opinions!! actually I do have other interests...but, like you see, my feelings can be very intense...of love and of hatred. What I think I'm trying to say is this, when I am in a relationship, I wish it to be monogamous. When I say "world" as far as revolving, I mean, never considering being with another person. Um...world, as in our "world" that we build together in our love relationship. Sure, I have other interest, hobbies, etc...and I would expect my other to do the same, for you can't sit around and gaze into each other's eyes 24/7..haha..but, thing is, when you think of that person, you only think of them...you don't think of them and 25 other women/men that you can share you love and life with...and worse, actively pursue them right under your nose...because then you tend to fall into blaming yourself for your inadequatices i.e. you weren't good enough for that one, so he has to go find what he is looking for in someone else..and that leaves you alone, so what good is the love you have to give and share?...and it is a vicious cycle to live...

does that make any sense?

My best friend Gloria has her Venus in Scorpio too. She recently broke up with a guy, saying:

"I am not going to accept bits and pieces in this relationship and this man. I want everything."

Who can resist?

Yah, I so know how you mean with your Venus position. I had to help her come up with a good "Not for me" line to someone because she wasn't attracted to them in "that way" to pursue a relationship. She is looking for the whole experience, exactly as you describe.

I don't think Venus is Scorpio would ever disappoint a lover. It's a cool placement, in my opinion.

Here's something for ya:

If Venus is in Scorpio in your chart it no doubt produces a very intense romantic nature. In relationships, you are very straightforward, determined, and direct. You often express excesses of feelings, being very possessive and sometimes jealous. Scorpio is the sign of physical magnetism. It is the sign of the zodiac that is said to "rule" sex. Born with Venus in Scorpio, you are no doubt a very sexy person. You approach the emotional experience of romance with much intensity and much feeling. In this area of your life, you are an extremist. Your love nature is based on total commitment and complete focus. With you there is no fooling around. You dominate and demand total involvement. Nothing short of this is acceptable. No matter what happens to you, your dignity is something that is never lost or put aside. The intensity of emotions resulting in this placement make it clear that matters of the heart are taken seriously and personally. You display your strong sense of personal pride and emotional dignity in all that you do. Because your love desire is so overwhelming, you sometimes become very possessive of your partner. This can be both in a physical as well as a psychological sense. You may express this in minor ways, but in some way or another you tend to control and hold on to the love of your life. You are in control and there is no doubt about it.

So, you do love too much . . . but I think it's a great thing!
