I used to watch Angel, but it just got too boring.

If we are talking "non-romantic" couples ... I have to throw in Edwina and Pasty from Absolutely Fabulous.

Heidi !!!
Yeah, they are great! How about Rick and Eddy (Bottom, Filty Rich and Catflap, the Young Ones etc.) Rick banging Ed's head with a frying pan a thousand times, so corny but hilarious!

Mercy,

I remember Rick from the Young Ones. Was the guy next to him also in the Young Ones? If he was, which one was he?

Yep, he was, Vyvyian the Punk who slammed, screamed and banged his head through every wall! And....he hated Rick the Anarchist!
Gotta love them!

Can I add Lana Lang and a young Clark Kent (Smallville)?

For those of you in the UK ...

How about Bill and Ben the Flower Pot Men, or Noddy and Big Ears? (Are they even around any more ... oops might be giving my age away here.)

And for you Aussies ...

How could you forget Daryl and Ozzie???!!! They were always my favorites!

I much preferred Ally and Billy... :

Of course, I would pick Larry over Billy in a heartbeat.

I'm not really a big TV watcher, but I do love Dharma & Greg.

As far as famous lovers go, though, I have many in the fiction world:

Catherine & Heathcliff will always reign, though!!

Soft spots for some oldies...

Dick van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore on the Dick van Dyke Show. They were always on the edge of some silent, physical comedy manic panic.

Siskel and Ebert. I know, Siskel passed away, but there's just no chemistry with the guys who've replaced him. They were like an old married couple.

David and Maddie on Moonlighting... Bruce Willis's best role, and I always liked Cybill Shepherd. BTW here's a link to a site that has 'virtually' kept the series going... they've kept writing Moonlighting episodes. http://members.tripod.com/sarahk15/index.htm

Luke and Laura on General Hospital, Rachel and Mac on Another World.

Currently, I love to watch Faith and Fred on Third Watch. They are a great couple. Hats off to great writers and actors.

I always liked the show Mad About You , even though Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt were kind of boring. They were good friends & lovers who respected each other as equals. I liked the intimate honesty.

I'd have to say:
Aidan & Carrie from Sex & the City were my favorite couple. But she broke up with him... So sad!
