Hi all,

I'm very interested in the concept of twin selves lately. I just ended a romance of 9 months, and although he loved me to death, I don't really think I loved him the same way. My question is- how do you KNOW when you've met that "other half" of yourself? I've never been the sort to believe that there is just ONE person out there for everyone, I think we have many soul mates. But a twin self? What's it like, once you've found him/her? HOW do you know?? Thanks for any stories!

First met him while he was playing pool w/ my first husband who was evil and mean. The week before I left my husband I lay in bed and cried to God to please let me get into an accident so I'd just die. A week later I went to the gas station a little out of my way considering there was one right by my apartment to get a pack of smokes and a newspaper. This guy who played pool w/ my first husband was there also, strangely enough, b/c he, too, had a closer convenience store he could have gone to. He was buying a pack of smokes and a newspaper. I was looking for a place to live, he was looking for a job. We made a date for a week later & haven't been separated since. He went to prison 5 months into our relationship for a drug problem that he kept well hidden. I married him May 10 at the work camp. He comes home in September.
You just know when it happens. You just KNOW.

I dunno about the requisite definition for"twin souls", but...

about four months ago, I had prayed a specific prayer for a girl to ome into my life.
To my inner divinity, I prayed with as much joy and positivity as I could muster for:
1) A creative aligned (poet/artist/musician;one of the three),
2) Intellectually inclined,
3) beautiful girl.

I prayed the prayer, then promptly forgot about it, and went about my business.

The next week, SHE SHOWED UP AT MY WORKPLACE!

Her name was Angel Slaughter,
(God has a twisted sense of humor, as you'll soon see)
and I got that inner "buzz" just from being around her.
We hit it off immediately, and both shared a love of beauty and deep spiritual natures.

I know she is the one.

Problem?>
She has no desire for me in the romance dept. whatsoever.

Since she quit working there soon after, I seldom have any contact with her, unless I call,...which feels uncomfortable for me given the circumstance of her unrequiting me, so I rarely call her anymore.

It damns me to think that she could not be my lover.
When I met her,I KNEW that she was the incarnation of everything I've ever wanted in a woman.

I carry a picture of her in my wallet.(I stole it from a bulletin board at work!)

I will probably ALWAYS regret her lack of interest in me.

It tested my faith severely.

No answers,only questions...

After my worst heartbreak, I realized I had asked the universe only to love, and had never asked for someone who would be in love with me too. Once I formally asked the Divine for the latter, it became fact. The men I have known since then have always loved me.

We need to be specific with our little grocery lists.

Oh my God I could tell you stories but I won't. Just wanted to say:" you will know, you will feel the energy most definitely!" It is the most beautiful, honest, pure and loving energy and most of all very INTENSE!
But I agree it could be hard to define mates as some are so close on the vibrational level (and does it really matter as the love we feel is the most important thing). As well you can even meet someone who is part of your own soul (so not the other half). I hope I am clear.

My cancer moon is just aching for you! I've been there. Well not exactly there, but I've had a bellyfull of heart pain. I admire the fact that you asked for what you wanted- and its amazing that it showed up! I guess your prayers need to be more specific next time, eh? Keep smiling though, ok?
