Okay, now I know this is stretching the imagination a little bit but just think for a minute.

In the old stories, gods and goddesses came to people in the form of animals and made love to them. In some cultures the animals have a spirit that is equal to ours because it communes with god. Imagine if all our spirits were part of one God, and so our emotions can be transfered to animals.

Good so far?

Okay so this explains why we have this fascination with animals in stories, swans that turn into women, bulls that turn into men. In ancient cultures animals as food and susteance were sacred because of their spirit. When animals were eaten, people were thankful to god and the animal body became sacred, full of life and emotional susteance. We were communing with eachother, with one spirit. That is why we thank god before eating, to infuse the food with live to truly nourish us and remind us to commune with each other. The idea is to make our lives mean something by eating with eachother and communing on one level. We are truly thankful then because our words and actions have more power from then on.

That is why when animals were sacrificed in temples the flesh instantly became sacred, the people were thankful first, it was the emotional transference to the flesh that made it actual nourishment, not some magic power or hope. The faith became real and nourished us.

So with that, we know that faith and hope actually nourish us, when food is eaten with thankfullness, it nourishes us but when it's not, we actually get sicker. When we thank those around us, we are getting the idea of communion as well.
The idea of communion is older than christianity. The original idea of communion by Jesus was to have a party with everyone invited to share food and drink, which was a symbol of our bodies and our blood. The catholic church then changed that to make sure there was a power structure and infused the communion with the idea of confession so that no one could receive communion or nourishment without being forgiven.

Since there was no confessional booth in Jesus's time, imagine if we could all forgive eachother, and imagine that is the true meaning of communion, forgiving and accepting eachother no matter who we are, without the need for a confession, so that we can commune with the sacred nourishment which is in each person around us, giving and receiving love and faith so that our hearts are filled with the thankfullness and we are healthy and whole.

We know faith can heal, can you imagine what life would be like if our food had no nourishment, if we ate on the run, and did not eat with people we loved? If we weren't grateful when we ate, drank, kissed, talked or made love? Would we get sick and unhappy? Is being unhappy really a physical condition by lack of faith and hope which is a real entity which we can't see?

Imagine that the emotional is being transferred from the animals around us, and if we can't eat an animal we can commune with each one by living close by, touching, nurturing and nourishing the animal life around us.

We know that we feel better around animals. If we practice communing with God this way, do you think we can healthier, and give more love? So that the more time we spend doing nothing but making ourselves feel better is actually not selfish at all but a secret transference of emotion between ourselves, the trees, and everything around us?

Imagine spending a day trying to see the love around you, flowing in and out of people, rocks, flowers, animals from you, to you and back and forth, Ignore the objects. Imagine how healthy you will feel.

The animals in folklore have always been sacred but how much are they a part of us really in spirit. My Grandmother said she once saw a woman's hand healed when her Mother placed her hand over it. A cut healed and left a small scar in that moment. She saw it, others saw it. But is that really a miracle or just our own energy?

I have always been fascinated by what people were like underneath, I always wanted to believe there was some binding force.

Imagine one day science will find out this is a real energy floating around, and maybe they will even harness it a hundred years from now. Until then we can try and harness it the old fashioned way, it's worth a try.

What do you think?

Just my thoughts on love. I have been talking to someone today who is sick and feels very alone, who feels there is nobody around to love, or who loves him, nobody like him or who needs him.

I told him to think of himself as a beautiful flower in a lush garden, overlooked a little but growing fast. What do you think I could have said?

I wanted to know what kind of animal he saw himself as, and he said none, and was not positive. I would like to know what kind of animal you think is communing with you?

I know being positive is so important, so I will go first. I am trying to be a Swan. I am growing, into one, not quite there yet, but graceful, flowing, happiest in water. That is the animal that is communing with me this week, and the Swan is in my thoughts, dreams and paintings.
