Hey everyone! I would like to make an appeal to all the libras (and those who know them well) to help me out a little. I am in love with a libran male and we are in a relationship currently. He's lovely, and i would like very much if i could make him deliriously happy. I mean, if someone baked/cooked for me or wrote me letters, i would cherish those things and feel loved. Plenty of physical affection is key for me as well. I'm a taurus, so i think our needs are a bit different. Please let me in on the secret needs of a libra...what can i do to rub his metaphysical belly?

Thank you! You are so kind.
Not to stereotype at all, but i have noticed the majority of libran suns that i know are not very drawn (or atleast not deeply) into astrology. I'm hoping there are librans here who can help me gain a really special insight into your hearts. I promise i won't abuse the knowledge!

Hi silvana!

I love that line "metaphysical belly"

I have a couple of Libra guy friends who all seem happy when they're just spending time with their ladies. My very first love was a Libra and he used to write me short little notes just telling me he loved me or that he was thinking about me, and he even used to decorate them, that silly boy. We spoke as often as we could, had very intimate conversations-we knew everything about each other, and he was just very affectionate. Libras like relationships,so I think that for them, being close is key. My Libra guy friends seem to like affection as well from the women they're with.

Did you check out Taurus-Libra in Love Signs?

I agree Oxy

I seem to mesh the best with Librans, they are gorgeous creatures!! The most common theme with Libran guys I know is that they love being spoilt. Fussing over them, making them special meals, telling them how cute they are (as long as you mean it) and how good they are at certain things. Always worked for me I always find a little flirtation is good too. Give them a smile, wink and grab their hand and give it a light squeeze. As for physically, i've found they like a little fun..

Never ask them to chose over you or their mates.

Just my onion!!

Nice question, silvana! People usually just give others what they would like to receive for themselves, so it's refreshing to have someone inquire about giving acording to the person's tastes!

I lived with a male Libran room mate, and have a female best friend who's Libran. The key words for Libran taste is "refined". Base it on your guy's tastes and activities -- does he read, play sports, etc? If you give him an object, it should be beautiful and tasteful, maybe elegant. Things that scream "design" are good. If you write him a poem, do it on handmade paper with a fountain pen. If you cook him a meal, use the best ingredients and arrange it artfully, even if it's meat-and-potatoes all dressed up. Arrange to to take him on a tour -- a medieval fair or museum exhibit, for example -- Librans love to expand their knowledge. Suggest that the two of you go out one day with cameras and take photos of one another -- he'll probably take the lead but that would please him. Burn him a CD of music you think he likes.

It doesn't matter what you give him, and it doesn't need to be costly, but it is good if A) it is given with love, and B) refined or exquisite.

cheers,
Lunargirl

hey, cool that you noticed that, lunar girl! i have foudn with most other relationships i've been in, what would make me happy tended to make the person i was with pretty pleased to, so i never had to do too much custom fitting of my love and expression. here, with my libra, i can tell his needs are markedly different than mine, but we have both have the same desire for undying gushy love. so, it balances out.

i've found writing him notes keeps him secure in my love, and little presents. i plan on trying to keep the notion of the "exquisite" in mind when seeking little trinkets for him. I don't know, he's just so lovely, and i'd love to make him happy on a really deep level. Physical affections and compliments, incidentally do work wonders as well. He is very receptive to positive feedback on his looks (not hard to come up with!!), it's pretty cute.
So, what do you think Libras want the most from their mate?

Hi, libras are wonderful arent' they? You sound like you are doing everything right! Don't fix it just keep it going, Libras are very faithful and chances are he will want to get romantic often but let it come naturally and it will.

Libras need to come down to earth sometimes and realize everything is not a fairy tale.
If you get too caught up in making everything perfect he will be upset. And watch the money because Libras love to spend like there is no tomorrow.

My Libra gets that all the time, I tell him I'm not perfect, you're not perfect, but things are perfect enough. Let's make the best of it.

thanks so much. i think you really understand too! my sun is in taurus, moon in leo, but ascendant in cancer, i think we must share similar feelings here. that's a very good attitude, recognizing that neither people in the relationship are perfect, but the relatiosnhip is perfect enough. awww!

Also, thanks for the advice on not getting caught on making things perfect. That's great too. Ah, libras. They're so irresistably kind, clever, cool, and nice. prrrrrr

Hi
Nice to find another Taurus girl involved with with a Libra male. Any advice on:-
a) How to get a Libra who's terrified of commitment to make the leap?
b) How to deal with his popularity, especially as regards the female sex? My Venus in Aries wants to kill but thank goodness my Taurus reserve keeps me in check : )
Regards
Beverley

rrrrr! i totally understand. my libra man gets loads of attention from his fairly annoying female friends. i want to throw things at times, but of course, i try to maintain a serene dispostion. I have no idea how you could convince a libra to make the commitment you need other than to talk about it with them. As scary as that is, just try and sit down and ask what he wants out of the relationship, or more positively, what kind of things he would like to see the relationship do or achieve in the future. have you guys made plans together for things like travel? living together? from what i understand they will pretty much just tell you a polite and edited version of the truth. just listen to what he says, if you get the feeling that he is saying he likes you but doesn't see things going very far or something along those lines, maybe take some time out for yourself and consider whether you want to be in a relationship where you don't share a similar vision of where things should go. i found it to be really healthy to discuss little bits and pieces of future plans together with him, because it shows me our heads are in the same place. ask questions to get answers from him, i think. good luck. communication is not easy betweent these two signs, if anyone has tips let us know!

Hi, as a Taurus with Venus in Aries, I know that it can be hard to diplomatic. But I said I simply wanted to get married and that was it, I'm not fooling around with you and in no way do I want to date another man unless he is ready commit to me within 6 weeks. 6 weeks later we were living together, then I had to push for the ring. It's not easy simply because he wanted to do those things but he needed me to say it because he was insecure. He agreed right away because he was in love on the spot. A libra gives his heart and that's that, you only have to worry about his insecurities.

If you are not commited you will have a terrible time with jealousy anyway because Libras are even more jealous than Taureans. I could see that coming. Mine was terrible,
Anyway I was really burned out on a relationship with an Aries only six months before and tired of dating, and the Libra had been recently divorced so he was ready. Libras like marriage very much and hate to be uncommitted.

I had been told by a gypsy that I would meet a man in March who was as she put it a real man not a child. And I met him in March and he was very traditional and very much a man's man. He has Saturn in Capricorn as a singleton so he is not as airy, plus he has Venus in Virgo.

As for me being jealous I was only jealous once where it showed and it turned him on and he didn't get jealous of me again. I don't know why that turns me on, but it does.

Stil every once in a while he will say something, like Michelle Pfiefer? is cute and I will get super MAD all of a sudden. It passes but he sees it and gets super turned on and apologies. It's funny but we just work that way. Plus he turns me on a lot more than any man ever has so that is a big plus.

Hi Natasha,

I am same way as you....he would comment on some celebrity`s hot assets and I will go ballistic. My reaction/jealousy DOES turn him on, always.
how does your synastry look like, of you and your Libra?

Hi, I think that the venus/ascendant square we have helps, and his moon is conjunct my mercury and my moon is trine his mercury, and neptune. My Neptune is in the 12th and his neptune and mercury are conjunct which makes him very piscean. Plus his jupiter is in sag, and my ascendant is sag ruled by jupiter.

Hi guys
Mine is just divorced and carrying a lot of hurt which he's only just started talking about. Of course I just want to smother him in healing affection bt think that would make him do a "road runner" number. He has a lot of air in his chart - gemini Moon and Aquarius ascendant, I have Aquarius Moon and Gemini ascendant so don't know how this works. He's told me more than once that he's not the jealous type (all that air?). He also has Venus in Virgo, (always looking for the perfect relationship?!) Linda's book says that Libra men are not possessive and I haven't seen any sign of it. We went somewhere at the weekend where there were lots of people he knows and he hugs all the women he knows, but to be fair is as firendly (without the hugging) to all the men. Guess I just have to cope. He's told me he will only be ready to make a commitment further down the line - guess I'm just impatient 'cos it "feels" so right, so much so that the sight of us together has been commented on by other people! oh well patience is a virtue. Back to the jealousy thing, even though he did something at the weekend which drove me up the wall, thought it would be better, in my favour not to make a scene(for lots of reasons) so I said nothing AT ALL.
Have a good weekend
Beverley

HI Beverly, time limits are good in relationships with Libras, remember they like to procrastinate. I do not think he will make a commitment if he hasn't in about 3 months.

We project our own insecurities, and then you add on top of that the usual Librans huge insecurities and you have a bundle to work with. If you really want him go for it, but you have to ask yourself if you really want that.

Did you ever read Too Dumb To Love?
In Truer than True Romance?
It's a great comic strip book about how women fall in love with men. It's right on the money and hysterically true. I saw a lot of myself in that and in Libras since they are such romantics.

Really good for those IN LOVE!

There is even a modern columnist for “The Male Point of View.” "Hank Hanson" (a self-proclaimed hunk) advises women that want to "get over" with men to "dress like you love them, but act like you hate them. . .So show your cleavage and your claws, kitten.”

She: "I can't help it, doctor! He's the only man who really likes me --- the only man who doesn't think I'm fat."
He: "You're being self-destructive, Can't you see what a wonderful woman you are? Sick, but wonderful."

Charlie was the boss at my restaurant. I could tell he wanted to sleep with me, and even though he was married, I was flattered.

Next panel. She: "So what's your wife doing tonight."

He: "Look, she doesn't understand me. Okay? So let's not talk about the old bag."

Oh, no-NO! It's Allen and Marsha! Jesus! He can't actually LIKE that bimbo!

A letter comes. She gives it to him. Caption: "Paul ripped up the letter into little pieces." And he says, "For some reason, I can't read this thingie. But I don' care. You are so pretty. I think I love you."
