If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound,
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour! Enough; no more:
'Tis not so sweet now as it was before.
O spirit of love! how quick and fresh art thou,
That, notwithstanding thy capacity
Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there,
Of what validity and pitch soe'er,
But falls into abatement and low price,
Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy
That it alone is high fantastical.

-Twelfth Night, William Shakespeare

She walks in Beauty
George Gordon Byron, Lord Byron

SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow’d to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair’d the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

I would love to fall under the spell of Lord Byron...and into his arms. Wordsworth would be a nice second - oh, strange fits of passion have I known.....

Oh love, I love many things, I love my mind and body, I love a balence. I recnetly met a Leo that is super cool, maybe I could love her, she certainly has the potential. I know I have the potental, but love is the great balence, isn't it? Love is so hard to come by. One of the most sacred things in the universe. One of the most beautiful too. I love love. I am so lucky to be able too know it. But i want to find it in someone. That is hard too, because it's baried so DEEP. You have to work and work and work to bring it to the surface. If your too fast and not delicet with it, you break it even before you get it to the surface. If your to slow you can't find it or you maybe digging for something thats not even there. Sometimes it's not there to begin with. Love is so hard. I wish all who seek it a good luck and that they find their fortune that they seek.
Love to all...

Great thread!

Love is wonderful! Full of twists and turns, yet such a strong bond that ties two souls. I hope we all are able to love so many people because it's such a wonderful thing. While jobs and possessions may come and go, never feel poor, value your friends and loved ones.

Namaste!
