moondust, I am happy to see you found someone you can trust. A Taurus is a good match for you then because a Taurus can get emotionally involved, more so than some signs. If you are emotionally attached and involved too then it's a good idea, but A Taurus will argue, that's just the rational side trying to assert itself. It's Taurean to lose yourself in a lover too and he may feel a loss of boundaries and control. It's Taurean to need to be alone sometimes even if he doesn't ask.

I know what you mean about the Venus in Aries and the jealousy. It can control you and you can be a slave to it. A lot of it is pride and it can tell you what to think, very scary. I have mars conjunct my ascendant in sag so I have lots of fire too. If he has a libra moon that's even better, but try to stay rational because libra moons can only do so much. Even lovers need time away and that may do the trick. I think air moons are great for jealous lovers, they really know how to stop that. I know about the temper too with Venus in Aries, I can give looks that kill and scare the daylights out of people, ten times my size. The flip side of that is I can send the sweetest looks (i've been told).

I wanted to add this about Capricorns,
yes they can be very sexy but sometimes if they have been burned in love they will be cold towards future lovers. Especially if they feel their lover used them in anyway to enhance their social status, or if they think that social status is everything. It happens to all of us once in a while. But to a Capricorn, it's very serious. The happiest Caps I know do not work that hard anymore and are secure in themselves, not too ambitious.

Earth signs feel the responsibilities of the world very strongly, and need to unwind. They don't need to be told to work harder, or appreciated for their accomplishments, just the opposite, they need more emphasis on what's emotional. Lots of earth signs feel taken advantage of by the opposite sex for some reason and it's almost impossible to earn that trust unless it's given.

On the other hand no matter how bad it's been for a Scorp, Scorps can get back in the swing of things solely for the pleasure of it. Earth signs are more likely to punish themselves and they are much more puritanical too. Earth signs don't forget either, I finally earned back the trust of a Virgo who burned me 6 years before I burned him. So wounds run deep. We forgive but slowly. I wouldn't spend too much energy on an earth sign who doesn't trust because they may decide to trust you when you are not around, a year later. They do not like pressure either. We are funny that way. I still can't figure out why I didn't end up with a certain Cap or Virgo, the security is low on my end most of the time. Libras tend to be big flatterers, Leos too. Caps are very sexy though when they decide to "give it up".

Hi Moondust,
Thanks for your input! This Scorpio Sun/Aries Moon does very well to hide his jealousy, except for maybe a slip here and there. (maybe it’s the Libra Asc.) But you’ve opened my eyes to better understand the effects of such internal struggles. We were talking about anger the other night and he said he pretty much keeps his inside…I asked how anyone would know he’s angry (I mean really, with that Scorpio stare, I’d be scared to see real anger lol). But I have to say, this Scorp/Aries mix is one passionate combination! 2 days later and I’m still flustered, trying to catch my breath! Heh, I’d deal with all the Scorpio stares and jealousy in the world for another night like that.

Right, as for opposite suns and moons, I don’t have any personal experience with that romantically. But I believe that you’ll never know if it can work if you don’t try. I wish you all the best and hope your boyfriend is making you very happy. What have you noticed about the oppositions?

Hi Natasha,
I agree that earth signs do not forget easily! I dated a Virgo who remembered everything…every single last little thing about every woman in his life. Capricorns too, but the ones I’ve encountered were always very forgiving (not forgetful, just forgiving). I knew one especially, with a Sag moon/Venus in Scorpio, who would forgive the girl he loved anything, though there were times when he really shouldn’t have. But their hurt runs deep-I knew one Capricorn Sun/Virgo Moon/Venus in Capricorn who ignored the girl he loved to punish her and then threatened suicide when she went on a date with his Capricorn friend. But yes, they can be very sexual and intense when they let themselves go a little.

As a side note, Natasha, I love how you include certain aspects of your chart with each post.

Thanks for the words of advice. Don't you just love those scorpio eyes? Even when i'm not intending to look mean, people tell me i'm glaring. Unlike your friend, I don't hide my jealousy too well, as hard as I might try. I also have venus and mars in scorpio, though. It's there and I can't do anything about it. I just have to make friends with jealousy, and be with someone who is very understanding. I was with a gemini once, and he just about drove me crazy. He was a great person, we're still the closest of friends, but we can't be romantically involved. Of course, my taurus has gemini rising, mars, and venus! But if you've got taurus sun, you're a bull regardless of what the rest of your chart says.

I've noticed with the opposition, at least with scorpio and taurus, you either get along beautifully or you want to really hurt one another. It's never in between. It's two extreme signs and I know that these two have more in common than other opposites. Talk about magnetic attraction, though! It's ridiculous how strong it is, and oh so passionate. It was instant from the first moment we met, and hasn't subsided one bit. Of course, he lives 17 hours away in a different state so we don't see each other very often, but we talk every day.

I think with your opposite, one person has to be willing to give more. There has to be tolerance and cooperation. With taurus and scorpio, i see a tendency for both of us to want control and "who is right?" We'll both argue our point until we're blue in the face, so I start to joke and change the subject. If you dangle some hay in front of the bull, he'll just forget what he was angry about. He's so easy to deter! And thankfully, I'm aware of what not to do with a bull and that's to corner him or demand things of him that he doesn't want to do, or try to talk to him when he's hungry!

Taurus are so slow to make decisions, though. It doesn't help that he's got libra moon. Are all taurus so deliberate? That's the one aspect of his personality that drives me crazy. I'm impulsive when it comes to decision-making, I dont' like to waste my time pondering over something. If I want something, I just go for it and if it doesn't work out, then it wasn't meant to be. I have no idea what part of my chart suggests this kind of behavior, but my mom is a libra and she takes forever to make up her mind also, if she ever gets there.

I don't know if it has to do with the opposition element, but we communicate really well with one another. We're very open and trusting, and neither of us is like that with anyone else. There's a lot of respect between us.

Sthenri, maybe you can help me. This taurus friend is going through a divorce and feels like a failure because his marriage didn't work out. How do you get a taurus to stop thinking they are worthless and to get out of a slump? I'm confused because he's in love with me, his marriage has been over for a year now, and yet still the self-pity trip is going on. Scorpios aren't into self-pity so I can't even relate to it. His ex-wife treated him like dirt, they never had a connection, he can't have kids and she's a cancer (need I say more?), and now he's fallen in love with someone else. So, why won't he allow himself to be happy and move on? Any piece of advice would be helpful. I never thought a taurus could be so grumpy and moody, until him. I can relate to the moodiness, though!

moondust, Taurus is very big on self pity and being down, a lot like Virgo.

We think we are fat when we are thin, and poor when we are rich but it's real, you can't convince us otherwise. The best way is to take the Taurus very seriously and respect his presence, listening is an art and he may not feel listened to. It took about two years for me to get back on track after my "D", almost three.

The way I got out of it was with activities, it's ski season, and even if he is not athletic, a Taurus loves to be outdoors around nature. Nature is an aphrodisiac to a Taurus, walks, hiking, ski towns, snowshoeing, anything at all around a natural environment will get him out of his shell.

Then drawing, painting, and the arts are ruled by venus so do not underestimate the Taurean greed for opera, plays, nights out, somewhere really cozy with an intermission and little cocktails.

a Taurus invented the cocktail I'm sure, a Taurus or an Aries..it's the perfect reason to leave the house. LIke the Pisces, the fish only wants to leave his sanctuary for work, or for drinks and somewhere warm and cozy, the Taurus is the same way at night. During the day, nature is the thing. Maybe a trip to New Hampshire to a cute ski resort town for a walk during the day or snow sports and a drink in town and a fantastic funny play in the evening, and then early to bed?

Remember that Aries and Taurus love comedy and so it wouldn't be a good idea to ignore his funny bone. A lot of comedians are Venusians, Libra and Taurus like to see the funny side of life. Old movies, plays anything at all that you can find that's funny will work, even comedy shows. I love comedy, it's everything I love.

thanks for the advice, but we live in different states. He's in Wisconsin until June, and i'm in Louisiana. We just returned from a trip to New England. We drove through Vermont and New Hampshire and had a great time. We are planning on moving there in the summer. It did wonders but now we're both in a slump from having to be apart again. He also has to have an outpatient procedure done on his back at the end of this month, so he's really down.

You're right about the arts, he's a musician. He lives for his music and it's a good thing he has that to release himself. And you're also right about him not wanting to leave his sanctuary, I thought as a scorpio, I was bad about being a hermit! The one thing that can get him out of the house is food, he doesn't drink.

So, my challenge is to try to be supportive at the same time as being apart. I've been through a divorce, I know what's it like but he's not too keen on taking advice so I just try to listen. He has to deal with his issues on his own, but I do listen and he knows i'm here for him.

What part of New England are you from? It's so beautiful up there. We camped all throughout Vt. and N.H. and saw the Northern Lights. What a magical experience that was! People were so friendly over there. Oh, yes and the nature thing. Right on. That's one thing him and I share a common interest in. We're amazing together, but it will require a lot of patience and understanding. But, doesn't every relationship?

Yes it sure does, but I try to tell myself, the future never happens. Get what you can now. A Taurus is tough to give advice too, that's true.

I am half in Maine, half in Quebec most of the time, and then I travel. Yes Vermont is very friendly, but New Hampshire has more going on. Have a great time when you move, New Hampshire has no sales tax and the cost of living is better as in lower than Vermont. Vermont is nice but there is not as much to do and less people.

Scorpios and Taurus get along very well, because Scorpios are warm and understanding when they want to be, and Taurus needs that, communication is key too.

Good Luck,
Natasha

sthenri,

You are right about Taurus loving outdoor activites! I too am a Taurus and I have a house in New Hampshire that earn to go to every day that I am down. Being and earth sign, Taurus is very much in touch with mother nature. We also love the fine arts, as I enjoy music, poetry, and dance. Taurus is stimulated by the simples things and even a trip too the zoo can be easily entertaining. One of my girlfriends is a Scorpio and we can talk about these kind of activities for HOURS. Male Scorpio, on the other hand, are very difficult to communicate with. I have be attracted to many Sporpios in the past, but yet who hasn't, but they don't seem to show interest or give be enough attention. One sign I must STEER CLEAR of are LEOS!!! When I look into their eyes there is a certain glow that makes my hair stand on its end and I turn in discomfort. For some reason I have never clicked with a Leo.

I have clicked with Leos twice, with enormous consequences, one bad, the other good. I agree they are not to be trifled with. But they can make very loyal friends. I have a Leo girlfriend from when we were 9, and she is great at keeping in touch and writing. My first boyfriend was a Leo and that was a mess for me. I agree it's tricky for a Taurus, but it's never boring.

Is this anything like a relationship with a square?

Oh Randall, you Cappies always somehow bring a to my face.

I saw this topic and decided to go to astro.com to see about my own strained (well, more like dying) relationship with my soon to be ex. Oh my, the squares that popped up! Merc sq. Sat, Sun sq Sat, Moon sq Mars, Venus sq Uranus, Moon sq Uranus, Moon sq Pluto....and a few major oppositions too. We have absolutely no communication between us. But the funny thing is, there are two conjuctions- Uranus and Jupiter to Pluto. It said that there was a reason for us to come together, to do a task of some sort, then we could go on our way. That floored me....Ive always felt like Im in this for a reason than for love (which doesn't exist between us). I felt like Ive always known him (past life maybe?) but that doesnt mean Ive always LIKED him.

...still waiting for those skyrockets...

Kat
