04/03/04I began with a vibe of energetic hope
Til I knew the odds were stacked, with a condemning rope
I sat among and tried to blend
Yet there’s a strange culture here I can’t pretend
I cannot play forever in the realm of hearts
It deepens a sorrowing distance apart
Painful to speak, while wondering why
As an object of disinterest, I prefer to deny
The lonely moments pervading the calm
Where I won’t give away that which is my soul’s balm
Longing deep in an inner pool
Seeking to discover a fulfilling fuel
