My Sun conjuncts my partner's North node - I read a lot of stuff about nodes, especially this aspect. They all say the relationship is tight and will last through all our lives and so on.. but there are moments when I don't feel so sure about it, although I want it.
We felt like knowing each other from the moment we met which was strange. What does this aspect actually say?
And is it strenghtened by some additional aspects with each other's personal planets and Saturn which we have a lot? /My Saturn squaring his Sun and Moon, his Saturn - conj. my Asc/.

His Sun Conjunct your North Node indicates a relationship in which the two of you help each other to express themselves and advance socially. Your awareness of social trends helps him to receive more social recognition for creativity. He may in return, give added energy and drive to your social ambitions. You both will play a crucial role in the timing of the other’s career.

What arc are you using for your aspects? I would sugest no more than +/- 1 degree.

Lanny, it's exact conjunction, 0.10 degrees
/I couldn't find the symbol for the degrees, so I wrote it that way/
