Hi there! How are you?
There is sth I don't understand and it would be really nice if you could tell me what you think. Well, when one places his planets in his partner's chart in order to see in which houses they fall, who is affected by the house placement? For example, let's say Mary's venus falls in her partner's 8th house. Whom will the energy of the specific house affect more? Mary or her partner?
Could you please explain this? Thank you very much for your time. take care

That's a really good question. I'm sure someone will have a more technical answer for you. I'm thinking it would affect both.

For example: If your Venus falls in your partner's 2nd House, it supposed to mean you will profit financially through that affair. Therefore, you will receive and your partner will give.

I agree with astro junkie on that. I always thought it worked both ways, but that is just my opinion. I figured that my planets landing in my partner's house would relate to how he perceived and related to me in the areas ruled by that house, and also how I perceived and affected him in relation to those areas. Can anyone give some "technical" reasons for or against this please?

The only time I can clearly remember coming across a similar issue was in, "A Time for Astrology" by Jess Stearn when he(?) is discussing a person's Sun in relation to their partner's 12th house (natal and solar chart).

By definition, one partner's planets in another's house indicates the energy that they bring to the relationship.

For example mr X's Jupiter in Miss O's (don't you just love X and O's?)5th house indicates a very favorable arrangement in marriage, and Romanic relationships. Because he knows how to make the process of learning enjoyable for her, it results in rapid growth on her part. The two of them will gain pleasure through cultural, educational, religious, philosophical, and charitable activities. They will both enjoy cultural or religious art and drama. This arrangement promises an enduring relationship because of their common concern and consideration for each other. It can also indicate a large extended family. Both will enjoy traveling together on vacations particularly travel that allows them to visit cultural and artistic locations.

Her Jupiter lies in his 1st house indicating that she will have a positive, beneficial effect on his self-image and self-expression. She can arouse him toward spiritual self-improvement, and help him to gain greater self-confidence and a more positive outlook on life. He on the other hand, can help her put social, domestic, philosophical, religious, cultural, and educational goals and purposes in action. Both of them tend to increase the other’s vitality and have a positive, healing effect on the other. And both can serve as teachers for the other in the areas above.

As you can see, both are affected by the other's placement to some extent. If both have Jupiter in the same house, the 6th for example, then they will have mutual kindness and consideration for each other that will make for a pleasant and enjoyable relationship. They can help each other in their employment endeavors, providing encouragement for future training and education, and encourage each other’s enthusiasm for helping others.

Help any, or just muddy the waters?

Lanny

Hi,

Can someone please explain the significance of house conjunctions in Synastry. For instance, I have Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto in my 7th house and my partner's Uranus and Pluto fall in my 7th - so does his Moon and Mars. Does this mean that what I give away (7th house) he takes control of?? - I hope this is clear. Also, he has Uranus and Jupiter in 1st. My Uranus, Jupiter and Pluto are conjuncting his 1st house.
Is this a compatibilty factor??

p.s. Hi Illog, I requested a synastry report from you a whle back, but haven't had a reply yet. If your a bit busy, that's okay. I just wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten me ;o)
