What would a Mars in Cancer transiting directly over a Natal Mars in Cancer in the 7th House do?

Thanks.

astrojunkie-

this is funny, i just posted the same question in another forum i go to.

except mine will be coming up in July, and it will be a mars retutn in leo in the 7th.

i know that mars returns usually signify a new, 2 - 2.5 year energy cycle. (it takes mars about that long to return back to its natal spot) Each time starts a renewal of energy.

I've been searching for some good info on mars returns - without much luck.

I will let you know what I find out, about the significance of a mars return in the 7th.

hi astrojunkie,

ok, this is what i found out.

The Mars return is about out drive to assert our will, work, make progress, do things. It’s active energy, through and through! “MARS returns every 2 years and the chart for that moment in time generally reflects work, healthy aggression and energy drives.”
Place the return planets in the natal chart and read as a transit chart, then put them back in the return chart to interpret as the outcome of those transits.
With Mars in your 7th house, you may feel a shift of power in relationships. You may want to be the boss! This is the house of socially significant relationships and Mars here is energy ready to burn! You’ll want to tango! (metaphorically or otherwise!) Others may point you in the right direction for new work or opportunities. Listen to them! A relationship could become more work oriented!

John Townley wrote a great little book on planetary returns called “Astrological Life Cycles”, Destiny Books, 1987. He talks about the Mars return being a two year “work-energy” cycle with the return a time of “renewed interests and new directions. It gives an energy boost that often marks a change in job status…”

Hope this helps. Interesting huh?
Let me know how this cycle effects you.
I'm looking forward to it. I could use a little more energy these days!

Oh, it's not me...

It's my Libra guy. I was just checking what transits I was going through, and realized WHY certain things had just happened.

So I decided to look at his too so I could understand more. And from what you are saying, it makes perfect sense.

Poor boy. He doesn't even know. (heehee)

Thanks for looking up the info. I know sometimes it's not easy to find.

Hey A.J
With a mars return you want everything to run smoothly. Any problems you have during the return will crop up again when transiting mars makes the square and then the opposition to its natal place. With the last square the problem will be resolved.

LaLa - now all this makes even MORE sense!!!

I'm in one of those "astrology is amazing" states right now.

One of the last things I said to Libra guy was exactly this, "I'm not trying to be nosey, and I don't want to know about anything petty, I just care about your health, if you're working too much, and pushing yourself too hard." He nods for me to continue. "You want things to go smoothly, and you want me to be OK." This time he nods in agreement and pleased I understand the dynamics of his concern lately.

That's why I'm asking the question about him needing certain things just right before giving in even more to me.

But that line you just said, about needing things to go smoothly. I already knew that instinctively, and let him know I knew that's what was happening right now.

And then the next day I look into the transits, and I'm obviously in awe of astrology right now.

(And confirms for me I'm not only "on time", but I may even be just a tad AHEAD of time, which is even f'g better!!!!

I know A.J. I love astrology too! The more you learn the more it makes sense.

Next year Jupiter will be transiting Libra and this is just as important as a Saturn transit. Its going to give you a lot, and then watch to see what you do with it. There are big responsibilities to be aware of. It can screw you up later on down the road if your not high-minded. Watch Jupiter A.J. And then make the most of it.

Yeah, I think Carlo mentioned that to me too, but I had no idea WHEN that would occur. Next year? OK...

Where would I like to be next year... hmmmm...

Living in a shack by the ocean with no crowds, no traffic, no TV, no radio. Simplicity. Relaxation. Quiet mind. Nature.

It may seem like I'm not aiming so high, but such is the nature of Capricorn, to grow younger as time goes on. My Jupiter & Saturn are Conjunct in Capricorn in the 9th.

Jupiter is the ruler of my 8th House, which will just make my strong Scorp influence even more introspective and monastic. That's me. To die anonymously with no frickin' funeral or people to make a fuss.

Cremate me or I'll haunt everyone and make them miserable. Throw the ashes into the ocean. Let me go.

September 26th(2004) Jupiter enters Libra.
You should get all those things you want and more. The closer Jupiter gets to your Libra degrees the stronger you'll feel it.
Jupiter transits Libra and Libra rules.
