"one touch bears a thousand quivers"wow....reading this kinda makes me wish i was the object of your Neptunian gaze....hehehe
it's funny, cuz as i was reading this, my mind kept jumping from your point of view to that of an observer in the bar....i imagined i was sitting across the room, witnessing what on the outside would most likely look like an uneventful, everyday occurrance; two people lock eyes for a few moments, then go about their business....but then i would just as easily leap into your head as i continued reading and those same moments became suspended for what i would imagine would feel like a second frozen in time....like you were seeing all of Eternity, stretched out, in her eyes...
i've had moments like that, particularly with a man i was in the company of in Madrid last Fall....those images are emblazened deep within my soul, forever....snapshots the finest camera equipment in the world could never be capable of truly capturing....it's an intense imprint that actually becomes part of you, even if in "reality", it's just an "ordinary" look, a normal stare, or two people looking eye to eye as they discuss what to eat for dinner....
you could swear on your very life they experienced it the same way you did...
yes, i've got plenty of those little short stories, myself, Steve...
yours is truly beautiful...
