Hi! I'm sort of seeing an aqua right now and I have been reading compatibility charts and I looked us up in the Love Signs book (I love that btw) and everyone says that scorpio and aquarius people are sometimes compatible but the main reason we aren't is because scorpios are very jealous and possessive.

I'm very much a scorpio in every way except that. I am very independant, and need plenty of space. I need things to change all the time and sometimes I'll even feel like being around them less once we've established a great relationship (mostly because I know that they like me so it isn't necessary). So since that is not an issue, how compatible do you think we'd be?

If this helps, my moon is in cancer, my ascendant in Leo, my venus and mars are in virgo. His moon is in aries, ascendant in Libra, venus in Aquarius and his mars is in Pisces.

I'd appreciate anyone's insight on this! Also out of curiosity, how likely do you think he is to go out of his way to be with someone he really feels connected to? Do Aquas usually do a lot of the work, or do they have to be pursued more than other signs? He seems like he would do a lot to be with someone, but the whole thing is pretty complicated so I really don't know.

With a Libra Ascendant and Aqua Venus he will like to do things for you and with you a lot. I have seen lots of happy Aqua/Scorpio people, especially where the man has a Libra rising.

The Aqua needs more communication than the Scorpio so the problems seem to be when the Scorpio doesn't call every day or doesn't listen to the Aqua. Aquas depend on communication, without it, they can't continue.

He will also want to take you out, if you are homebody, be prepared to dust off your nicest clothes and make sure they are clean. Space is fine, but if you prefer another the Aqua male will be very hurt, so reassurance is key. Give him as much attention as you would a kitten all the time and he will be happy.

Scorpios do not always know when they are starting to retreat.

That's really helpful. Now that I think about it, I can see why that would be an issue with me. In a previous relationship I didn't think the guy would mind the space thing (I don't know what his sign was), but I didn't make a point of calling him on the days we didn't hang out. I thought about him but it wasn't like he consumed my thoughts. Well he thought that I wasn't putting enough effort into the relationship (because in the beginning I had called him a lot more) and it ended.

I'll have to keep that in mind in this relationship and future ones. After reading stuff about Aquarius, it sounded like I would be the one calling him every time. I read about the other planets, but I'm new to astrology and am bad at putting it all together.

I feel that is a very Scorpio thing. I am like that too. I like independence, especially when I am secure.
I think with your Leo Ascendant, someone has to STOP you from going out all the time, too. I love going out. Show me affection every once in a while.. more if needed, give me space, and when we come togther, our worlds really collide.

Pixelpixie: I love going out. I just got home, actually. I agree with you about that. Everything says scorps are so introverted... I keep my feelings to myself and have plenty of secrets, but I am very extroverted and a total "Type A" personality. So now I know it's because of the Leo in me!

Torn Curtain: That's so rad that you are in a reversed relationship from mine. Hopefully someone can tell us more, right? Regardless, we can give each other insight from our sun sign's POV. It sounds like things are going fine though, right? Do you have any issues with dating a scorp, being an Aqua yourself?

I find Aquarius/Scorpio relationships fascinating. And when I dated Aqua's, or Moon's, I'd always notice how they were affected by my strong Scorpio influences.

Thanks for asking!Things are going great with my scorp guy. He has a Scorp sun,and Cancer moon,and that combination makes him Very emotional. Not that I'm complaining. Its nice to have a sensitive guy around. I don't really have any issues with him. We hardly get in fights at all,because we talk through whatever needs to be delt with.

Sunny...Aquas love it when you stay in touch...keep it light. Either by email or a handwritten note. Just mention lightly that you are wondering how he is doing and ask him about something of interest to him or something he enjoys doing. Keep the door of communication open. Aquas love it when you show an interest in what they are doing and will show the same interest in return.

BlueTopaz124- That is very wise advice you passed on to Sunny. I/m an aquarian (2/17/77) and it's so true Aquarians like loose emotional bonds, while my Scorp guy(10/24/67)is just the opposite. Hopefully the "taking it light" advice works. Wait & see.

Scops and Aquarians'are a bit stubborn or stuck in a rut,so because of that you have strong opinions -- you'll both be digging in your heels when differences surface between you. Also,You'll both wonder what led you into this relationship.
Do some soul searching and figure out if you really want to stick by the Aqua guy. Especially since he seems to have"issues with another girl." Lots of *hugs* for you.Stay strong and remember there is always someone out there for everyone. In your free time,do something that gives you joy. Try something new like for example...learn how to play drums or guitar,find time to paint,golf or salsa dance. If you want to explain the lessons learned about yourself and the time you spent with the Aquarius guy,Please do.

Sunny- Have fun! You've got lots to look forward to,with the Aquarius guy. Don't let this one get away! You definatly have the right instincts about wanting to date the Aqua guy. I wouldn't worry too much about your friends opinions,and stick with your guts/ how you feel when youre with the guy.
I understand what you mean by "instantly falling" for him. When I met my Scorp,he was throwing his girlfriend out of his apartment because he caught her cheating on him. So,needless to say,I had to give my Scorp guy time to lick his wounds,and get his heart open to trust a woman again before I let him know how instantly attracted to him I was. Waiting for him to come around was the hardest part, but it was so worth it. He was happy that we both felt the same way about eachother,but even more proud that I had taken the first step and been upfront about my feelings towards him. I/m so greatful that I was able to feel the fear but push past that and discover a great guy.
Maybe the Aqua guy is your soul mate? And thats part of why you're so attracted to him.
Getting away to quiet places together often is a good idea,where you can talk together as a couple, and decide what path is best to take.

yes...try to keep it light in the romance department with an Aqua, especially if you are unsure about how they feel about you...if you come on too strongly, he might pull back even more or even worse, disappear completely! Keep things light.
