Eros in Pices supposedly means we are ready to merge and become one with another. I have it, & I wonder how many of you (especially since many of you are looking for the right person for you or feel like you have met them) have it. Both my husband & my twin have Eros in Capricorn.IP: Logged |

I have Eros in your opposite, Virgo. Does that mean I like to pick lint off the sweaters of my loves, organize their checkbooks, and paint intricate pictures, with one hand in the wallet, just making sure the money is still there? Maybe I vacuum their house for them? IP: Logged |

I have Eros in Pisces. And Psyche in Aries. The greatest love of my life so far has a trine from his Psyche in Scorpio to my Eros. And a nice opposition from his Eros in Libra to my Psyche.
I have not yet found The One (assuming there is such a thing).

The Myth of Psyche; The grieving figure of Psyche in the myth of Eros and Psyche is an image of a young woman who came upon the fact that she loved intensely, and that nothing would soothe her until she was reunited with Eros, her husband and true love. She was separated from him after loving him unknowingly: she did not know his identity. When her curiosity had been piqued by her two (wicked) sisters, she was not prepared for the truth: that instead of with some toothy monster, she lay in bed with a god. He was no less than Eros himself, son of Venus. Humiliatingly, Psyche had to seek from his Mother Venus, the favor of his love. That Venus was a terror. Four difficult labors of love were required to satisfy Psyche's offense at having first been rescued by her son, alive--the opposite of the fate planned by Venus. Eros' transgression and the rare beauty of the young girl were the crimes of love, the original hubris against the goddess of Love. Their crime? Innocence. It is too rarely that we remember that Venus is not just a powder-puff mother of some pudgey cupid, but a Divine Force of Nature--our attitude toward Desire--from whom we ask (pagans that we are!) and hope for the possibility of loving. That is, if Venus could only be pleased. We too seek love's fulfillment. Since 9/11, we find ourselves in Psyche's shoes. Grief and anger, despair and grotesque reminders of the fragility of life are the ground of this story. The Eros and Psyche myth permits a mythological route through the difficulty of this time in our history. The mythic dimensions of Love are rarely mentioned. Instead our modern times refer us to popular books from which to glean insights about our love life. These books, even though insightful and well-meaning, do not compete with the power of Death to reach us even in the depths of pain, despair and grief, a connection to the soul which enables love to grow later again. Venus as Love Goddess is variously portrayed by men or women. The "Boy Toy," is a Venus invention. Britney Spears seems to have borrowed Venus' hip riding "girdle of Love," that accessory of magnetized, aroused love energy, now on video and DVD. The fact is, our vision of this mythic dimension is so cramped and small that we wonder at the great longevity or even the relevance of Venus in our times. She has been replaced by another starlet and Psyche, forgotten. But this is the moment for the next suffering mortal to rise to the occasion, upstage the goddess and in turn, return to humanity once more. Ride, Momma Ride Venus' most sacred domain over the affairs of lovers maintains that the starlet of our movie (ourselves) shall be dominated or killed by her own Dream Lover, almost like Psyche herself. What's more, the murder will occur within the much ignored area of our personal psyche, our Mythic self or place. Astrology recognizes this mythic "place without place, time without time." It is the deepest part of our identity, and relates to our lives in a manner still left unexplained. Astrology is a mystery as big as life itself. It is the work of the astrologer to locate the towering, domineering Venus who brings us unconsciously to her power struggles and frequent ensnarements, the "troubles" of the heart. Venus herself does not take lightly her replacement by any embodiment of her sacred seat (both literally and figuratively, here). She is the one who may command from on high, who may address us as peons. She may control us (she often does) through our desires, whether for addictions, relationships or compulsions. But, she is a force of which we are usually unconscious. So, we writhe in place until we "wake up." Venus forces us to recognize her through her son Eros. His principle is pleasure, and the soothing of the senses in the deeply moving experiences of life. He will be our Dream Lover. We will learn to love the love (Venus) and love the erotic (Eros) through their companioned (we are joined, but by some "monster") and terrifying tortures. An ancient amulet* once portrayed Venus as a wanton bare-back riding Psyche like a horse. You can imagine Psyche's hair being pulled like the reins which torture us, controlled by this tyrant goddess. Eros in the meanwhile floats somewhere in the middle of space beneath Psyche and holds a torch to her genitals. If we visualize Psyche's story as our own, (that includes anyone, any gender) we could map our way through the traps set by the wicked mother of our lover. She who could hope to ensnare us again, with greater entanglements, would be seen for what she is: an autonomic function of the Psyche--as yet unrecognized. The more Psyche (we) struggles, sobs and writhes in pain, the more Eros must flame us with his tortures of longing. We burn, baby burn. Practically on a spike are we, ridden and roasted--and the ride is not over yet. But awareness of the big players, and the grand script offers hope. Venus performs as a Force Majeure, the union or separation of our loved ones is in her domain, according to the astrologer. How to make ourselves wake to the fact of her powers and gain her favor in a conscious procedure is how we also Kill the Dream Lover (title of my work-in-progress) and also arrive at--a bit tattered, but still able--greater loving. So Venus is the power that drives us with compulsions, Psyche is our fear and subconcious, and Eros the result of our compulsions and desires? And our Psyche is tormeted by compulsions, desires, and erotic love until we wake up and refuse to feel pain?Innocence and loss of it is a big theme in myths, in some we hear that innocence is dangerous, and that we have to blame the ones that lead us into danger in order to be healed. That way we corrupt our love with denial and anger but it's healing too. I think in that way mars is a good foil for Venus, Mars being what makes us stand up for what we believe in and act for others. What do you think? My eros is strong and my Venus is ruled by Mars, so I will have wonder what about that. I do have many passions which I channel into the Arts instead of physical love, maybe that's why I work with so many Air signs? Thanks Pixie you are generous:> Natasha

I checked a few people's Psyche's One who is a psychologist has Psyche in the 8th in Gemini. Two people I know who are slightly scattered and like to drink have Psyche in the 12th, one in Gemini and the other in Aqua. I have Psyche in Aqua in the 3rd.Those I know with Psyche in Gemini are old friends, or family, their Psyche falls into my 7th house. Those whose Eros conjuncts my Sun, or North Node have a strong attraction to me that's unsettling. The sexiest man I have known so far, has Eros conjunct my north node and Moon in Cancer, and his Eros is very close to his Venus, Eros is in the 4th=secretive romances. He loved secrets. Something to remember when anyone asks about Eros and Psyche in synastry. Watch Psyche in mutable signs and houses, there could be mental instability, Am I right? I will Psyche in readings, Natasha Taurus IP: Logged |

I have a Psyche Eros Conjunction w/ a guy Im interested in. My Psyche and his Eros are in Gemini. Then his Eros Cap sqaures my Psyche Libra, thats a double. Hmm this could expalin some things. Im not involved with him but I read that this is a rare aspect w/ lovers. Are Psyche and Eros not taken as seriously as other aspects? I never even knew about Pysche and Eros until now, thanks to you all! I found this on the top 6 soulmate clues link. "check to see if anything's up between the female's birth Eros and male's birth Psyche. Finding a double whammy cross aspect between lovers (involving conjunctions, oppositions and squares) is rare..."

Well, only one other person had it. I thought more of you would have Eros in Pices. On the 23rd Psyche trines Eros, on the 9th Lilith and Eros meet and again on the 17th, but I don't really know if that will have any effect on us. Thanks for sharing the info! That was the same website I read that on, too; they have info on the vertex and some other cool things.IP: Logged |

Sparkle,Down towards the bottom of the page on 'Extended Chart Selection' you type in #433, this is the number of the asteroid Eros. Then continue on with the chart. You should see it on your chart then. I have natal Eros conjunct natal Sun - in Taurus. OOoooo, lucky me. Hope that helps..... 26 IP: Logged |

Do those of you with Eros in Pices feel the need to be with your twin? I guess that's what I was really wondering about. Then again, it sounds like Psyche has a similar effect. I feel like it's somehow significant that Psyche will trine Eros, but I'm not sure how,I'm guessing increased intuition, maybe telepathy for some.
