Hello, all! I'm new here, but I have been a big fan of Linda Goodman for a loooong time. I am looking for some insight into my relationship... the two of us think it looks promising, but I'd like some astrological insight if any of you enjoy doing this sort of thing. Here is our information:
Me: 12/16/76, Tampa FL, 7:34 am
Him: 9/10/76, Lima OH, 1:30 pm

Thanks in advance!

Overall, without drawing up charts, I would say that Virgos and Sags have many things in common. I know two couples that are very happy together. The Sags have very active social lives through their work, and both have children. The trick I think is being very active outside the relationship, and being hospitable to others.

This can work, if the Sag is very sentimental, and the Virgo makes an effort at social activites.

Thank you both. I think our relationship is interesting because he has a very active social life and is much more boisterous than the typical Virgo... his sun is Aries and rising is Sagittarius. We both have Sagittarius rising, what is the significance of this? I don't know how to find out about our long-term potential, I'm new at trying to read charts. We've been together for three months and this relationship is the closest either of us has ever felt was "love at first sight." We call it more of a connection as we both feel that true love takes some time to develop. I'd love to hear any feedback anyone would be willing to offer!

Sounds good:> Go to astro.com and enter your personal data on the top right. Then go to Free Horoscopes and look at the options, everyone here uses astro.com, it's excellent,

Well, upon looking at your charts, it easy to see why this Virgo's more outgoing that your normal Virgo: he has a kite configuration, comprised of a fire grand trine (very extraverted, social) with a Venus/Mars conjunct in Libra oppo his Airies moon in the grand trine, giving the grand trine, and his overall chart, immense focus on that Aries moon.

Also his Jupiter is trined his Venus/Mars conjunct, which would most likely may he a more cheerful, social sort of Virgo than average. All of this would of course harmonizes very well with his Sag ASC, perhaps giving him the outward, public persona of a fire person more than his earthy Sun would indicate. This would jive very well with your Sag Sun-Lib moon-Sag ASC personality, of course.

However, don't count his Sun out - it's squared to his Neptune in the 1st house: he may be prone to having, er, um, *slightly* grandiose ideas about himself and what he's capable of doing, which may or may not be rooted in reality and very likely be rooted in some ego defense or other ego-related insecurity. With all that fire influence, he may need someone from time to time to make him stop and do a reality check before lunging headfirst into some endeavor. Just so you know.

Also, no matter how much fire influence he has, he's still a Virgo. And Virgos don't like to be wrong, and they get very touchy about people pointing out their errors. So it's best to approach them about their errors of judgement cooly, calmly and rationally, without emotional defenses or sharp accusations. Just so you know (I wouldn't want him turn all that Aries moon energy on you).

Your composite chart is quite interesting: you have a stellium in the 11th house (house of social activities and friendship), which might be why you two feel so bosom buddyish together. It's comprised of the Sun, North Node and Uranus, so this will feel like it's very close to each of your sense of selves, as well as feel very exciting, unusual and "new," and perhaps a bit like fate or destiny. Your Mars and Venus are also conjunct in the composite, which is going to make things pretty intense on more intimate levels - just try not to burn each other out.

That's the good news; now the bad news (I'm the Prophet of Doom around here, by the way...but don't let that scare you ). Your composite has a configuration of three outer planets, Neptune, Pluto and Saturn, in which you have Neptune trined Saturn and each sextiled Plluto. Some astrologers might poo-poo this as not a big deal, but I wouldn't. I've seen this kind of thing before and it plays out like a little seesaw, with the two trined planets pulling back and forth, creating highs and lows. Because these are trines and sextiles, it may not be "felt" until the consequences begin to surface. And when they do surface, the two you may feel like, "hey, how did this happen??"

Because these are outer planets, their influences are harder to "own" so to speak, and may feel like the influences are coming out of nowhere. This can get very confusing. Because it's Neptune in the 12th house, and Saturn in the 8th, little seesaw action has the potential to be very intense and stressful on a deeper level that's not easily seen by either of you. Neptune rules our imagination, idealism and dreams, and 12th house our subconsciousness. Saturn rules our sense of order, realism, morality and responsibilty and the 8th house our sexuality, life, death and wealth. So in essence, the highs and lows you two may experience could be between high idealism and bitter realism, and may have deep effects on your psychological health, sexuality and wealth, for better or worse. And Pluto, which is the apex of this little seesaw, is the planet of regeneration, subconsciousness and transformation. All of these are powerful psychological factors. Therefore on the positive side, these highs and lows may lead you two to have a profoundly transforming relationship for both of you, but I don't think it'll come without a fair amount of stress and perhaps times of confusion and discouragement.

Now I say this based only on the composite of your chart. A composite is like the "personality" of your relationship, but it does not determine how well either or both of you will cope with any problems that creep along. That comes from your own levels of maturity, self-awareness and willingness to make the relationship work. Nor does the compositie indicate how willing either of you are to make a relationship work. That's a choice each of you must make.

Good luck to both of you

Thank you so much! This was a beautiful new insight into our relationship (even the "bad" stuff!) I appreciate all of you taking the time to give me your input! BTW, like I said, I'm new here but have been reading Linda since I was eight (I stumbled across a copy of "Sun Signs" and never stopped! At that age it blew my mind!) I've read all of her works and have enjoyed them immensely over and over again. It's great to be here!
