I am a sag with sag rising and libra moon. I don't have a lot of earth in my chart, mostly fire and air, but I am constantly drawn to earth men. What's up with this? My Jupiter (ruling sign) is in Taurus, could this be why? Or is it just that they're so d*mn sexy!IP: Logged |

I have a Sag/1st house conjunct Mars and I also admire earth men. My favorite man right now is my Virgo uncle, but he has a 12th house moon and Cancer rising. When they are good they are very, very, good. I love the sweet approach sometimes.Take Care,

If you dig earth men, have 'em! All of 'em, as far as I'm concerned. I personally find them too dull, too predictable, too ordinary, too humdrum, etc, etc... or there's just serious ego clashes between me and them. I have a great knack for p*ssing off earth men royally, even though it's largely unintentional. They tend to find me flippant, irresponsible, impractical and arrogant. Part of the problem, I know I'll sound hugely self-important for saying this, is I'm way smarter than most earth men, and they just can't handle it. An unspoken truth about earth men is they do not like women to be smarter than them - I'm sure plenty of people will object, but I've been around academics too long and know you can count on this. It's always been the earth men who couldn't cope with a wife who got more recognition for her intellectual achievements, or a woman chairing their department, and so forth (as I mention in the other forum, a friend I knew years back was married to a Cap man who forbade her from going to grad school - after she wisely divorced him, she went on to get a Ph.D). I've also found they like to "mold" the women around them, regardless to the type of relationship, and get testy and standoffish when they can't. Being a rebellious and independant air type, I'm horridly sensitive to any man "molding" me to their expectations. It's been my experience and my perhaps rather snobbish opinion that women usually like earth men because they seem sensitive (which is often true, but their kind of sensitivity doesn't neceesarily mean they'll be sensitive toward your feelings - the most viciously sarcastic and bigoted men I've met have all been earth types, minus a few Cancers), as well as trustworthy and reliable. On paper, earth men should be just that, and should fill the ideal of some women (not me though). If they are all that, then great. But if not, run. History attests that when earth men are good, indeed they're very good (Martin Luther King Jr), but when they're bad, they can be just plain evil (Hitler). IP: Logged |

... hee hee ...Well... I wouldn't say they are intimidated in any way by your intelligence, or that you get the reactions you get because "they can't handle it". That's more of a belief.
