Can anyone tell me why do some people have to be in control in certain situations. Mainly relationships. I mean you could never know the real deep down reason, but I am sure that someone has experience what I am talking about. They have to control when time is spent together, how fast the relationship progresses ect. ect. Anybody know what I am talking about???

Yes, I know what you mean. Such behavior usually stems from fear of not having control of their lives. If they can control a relationship, they don't have to deal with their real fears.

Hi Mamamia, I agree with Lanny, and AJ lol!!

Also, I can actually be a bit of a control freak sometimes when Im insecure or afraid of the other person hurting me.
I cant think of anything else, being spontaneous with the person helps stop them being controlling, like a suprise thing or presant ect.
