i have a question regarding orbs. what guidelines do those of you who are experienced find acceptable? i ask because i'm getting into some of the minor aspects now, and this one site gloria so kindly posted before provides this information:

a LOT of aspects are listed there. of course, judging by this list, just about every planet is in aspect to every other planet (almost all the degrees are covered). i'm trying to gain a more intuitive understanding of astrology and aspects, and this is what i've come up with so far: conjunctions are the most potent, so a 9 degree orb is acceptable, especially if the planets (or angle) involved are the sun, moon, AC, or any other planet important to the chart or charts (like the ruling planet - mine happens to be venus). after that in importance is the opposition (supposedly also a 9 degree orb is acceptable here), then the square (5 degrees), then the trine (5 degrees) and the sextile (3 degrees). all other apsects should be given at most a 1 or 2 degree orb...right?

what do you guys think?

i greatly appreciate any and all input.
