I have made it clear that under no circumstances is that acceptable to me.

But was wondering if anyone could give me some input on anything in his and his ex's chart of such a thing or if they see that a concern with our charts.

Some aspects btwn them that might play into that (not sure)?

most astrologers believe mars-pluto aspects, natally and in synastry are the most conducive to violence and agression. sun square mars is sometimes said to promote aggressive behavior (natally) or cause frequent fights (in synastry) as well, but let me say, i have this with my friend (er, date), and i do not agree with this this interpretation at all. it's his sun (virgo) and my mars (capricorn), so by sign they are actually sextile. the orb on the square is 5°, so it's not exactly the tightest orb, either. plus i think it matters what signs are involved. if fire is part of the equation, that might add to aggressive tendencies.

you didn't mention what synastric aspects you guys share, so just remember, take these things into account when looking at your chart & his. remember out of sign squares are weaker, consider the orb, and consider what signs are involved.

that said, i noticed his ex has mars conjunct pluto. from www.astrology-numerology.com:

and it's true: man, if he is ever abusive to you, or has been mean or spiteful or cruel...don't even consider it. it'll just get worse. of course, you didn't mention that he was like this with you so perhaps you're just worried at his mention of the er, rather dynamic and impetuous relationship between he and his ex. if this is the case, then it's good that you're concerned. watch him carefully. maybe start looking at his chart in more depth for aspects that would indicate he was prone to abusive or otherwise negative behavior like that.

Then the Leo's ascendant is Scorpio, very combustible with Moon in Pisces. Moon in Pisces and Leo sun are usually combative IMO.

Pluto square or opposite another's Ascendant is up and down all the time. And the Venus square Uranus is tough too, not much empathy during rough times, more like a sibling competition,

This man is a clinger, so that's why the arguments with women, he clings and suffocates and then suddenly lets go, he needs balance, someone in his life who is more of a companion.

As for Scorpio Rising, it can be dramatic and persistent about what is right. And Scorpio rising can cling and remember grudges too.
Those types of combative relationships always have to do with hidden grudges and resentments. It would be good for this man to learn to communicate with women, with less emotion.

Let me stress that his relationships were not violent on his part he never laid his hands on either of the girls but there seems to be a certain volatility to the relationships.

Rather the women had a tendency to throw punches and get violent -- i am trying to understand the part of him that was attracted by that part. He actually had to file domestic abuse charges against one of them to get it under control. That is why he left-- he did not want his child to be exposed to growing up in that atmosphere.

I am merely asking so that i can compare his ex's aspects with his and mine as i am still learning. Hi ex is a leo and so am i and as our birthday's are only 1 day apart (though not born same year) we have some similar influences.

we have same moon (pisces)

Mars square Pluto (that could be bad)

Venus opp. mars (don't think that is violent though)

In his own chart his mars (Saggie) is unaspected and his Sun(Cappy) also unaspected. Also moon in Pisces in the 12th house- so i am not seeing anything especially violent there. I know that males Pisces moon in 12th can make him susceptible to the drama that unfolds around him and certainly would make him like it to a degree, before it depresses the hell out of him.
