I'm looking at the synastry chart between me and my bf (don't know birth time, so no house placements..) and having some trouble interpreting some of the more heavy aspects because they seem to contradict each other. Any help would be great in understanding because these are the aspects that are standing out. 1.My Mercury squares his Jupiter, but his Jupiter trines my Mercury 2.My Jupiter squares his Saturn, but his Saturn conjuncts my Jupiter 3.My Sun opposes his Mars, and his Mars squares my Sun (this one makes me think!!) 4. My Venus trines his Mercury, yet his Mercury squares my Venus 5. Finally, my Pluto squares his Venus, but his Venus doesn't aspect my Pluto. Thanks for any help!

Well, someone's probably going to eventually point out, in case you were not aware as I was not - If you do not have an accurate birth time, you will not know the exact degrees everything is in, and therefore, could not calculate true Aspects. But, I'm one of those who believes tha Planets or placements of like Signs carry a lot of weight, especially if the orbs are tight. But the orb allowance factor puts you back at square one again. Hi astrojunkie, Thanks for the welcome! I completely understand what you mean by the orbs, but I see those aspects in the synastry and I feel like they have these neon lights around them, telling me to "pay attention!" lol. So I hope someone will at least amuse me and help me understand what they mean..orbs or no orbs. IP: Logged |

I do see there's some interesting patterns there, and I'd be just as curious. There are people here who know a lot more about how Planets lead each other in Synastry. I'm not one of them. IP: Logged |

Well, I am no expert by any means, but I would take into consideration whose planet is interacting how with the other planet. They do sound like they contradict each other, but really in every relationship there are many levels of interaction and response to one another. I would try to link the two and give myself a bigger picture, greater insight into our behaiours and influences. For example with your Jupiter and his Saturn. Your Jupiter Squaring his Saturn might indicate that he is better with money than you are. Maybe you just have different ideas about spending and saving and it creates conflicts. It also might indicate that money may be tight or difficult to attain at times. But his Saturn conjuncting your Jupiter, indicates promising financial security... they don't really negate each other, they just tell you the bigger picture. Lots of people have a hard time with money before they "make it"... see? Anyway, that's how I would look at it all. IP: Logged | |
