Can you break up with someone during a mercury retrograde without having any affects from the retrograde?

I broke up with my boyfriend tonight and I want to make sure it sticks. It never sticks, lol. Any thought's or information would be greatly appreciated.

I must admit, I broke up with him because he was so reticent and I didn't talk to him at all for a few weeks. He missed me a lot and being a Virgo figured out what the problem was, made a plan, and made some changes.
Now, he's the most "real" I have ever experienced with him.

Since being back together, we have managed to keep our communication really open. I expect that to change at any moment, lol. Bring on the arguments that are the hallmark of our relationship.

That gives me hope... all our issues began during the retrograde and my Pisces has a Virgo moon. Maybe he's just stewing on it all, trying to figure things out.

Virgo and Taurean breaking up - what a joke! You guys like each other too much to ever severe bonds for good - take it form a bull with a Virgo dad and a buncha Virgo friends.

Besides, the temporary ruler of Virgo, Mercury, is supposed to govern communication - so temporary aspects asides, I think you guys will always find a way to communicate. And isnt that what it is all abt - being able to communicate?

A patient, intelligent bull and a vibrant, careful virgin - what a sweet combination!

Of course we're still a pain in each other's butt.
You are right though, it will probably take a lot to separate us for good, just seem to be very compatible right now. Also, how could I not love a man who cooks, cleans, and likes to cuddle?
