OK... I'm dissecting my synastry chart with G... and I'm confused once again by looking at this stuff too closely. I've told before to pay attention more to the houses the planets fall into... so I've been doing that and waving away any possible confusion that could ensue by just looking at the houses... but tonight for some reason I decided to dissect things by degree and now the things I'm confused about have some pretty important implications! Either my Sun and Mars are Square his Pluto or trine! Eeeek. By house, they are square. By degree/sign they are trine. My Sun and Mars are at 4 and 5 degrees of Aquarius and his pluto is at 8 degrees of Libra. But by counting only the houses they're square. Also... one more question... his planets in my chart don't form many tight aspects... but vice versa... my planets in his chart, form many more tight aspects... does that mean anything? Anyway... I would appreciate any light that can be shed on this trine/square deal. I want to be trine! Not square! But... whatever Whatever it is, it is... It was meant to be that way and we'll figure something out either way, lol. Square spells S-Q-U-A-R-E not D-O-O-M-A-N-D-G-L-O-O-M! IP: Logged |

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying... maybe posting both of your birth info would help. What house system are you using? I would think you would count the degrees, which would make it a trine, regardless of the houses. If it's not 90 degrees, give or take a few, it's not a sqare, right? This actually reminds me of my own confusion over "Relationship Signs." Aspects are configured in there by simply counting (equal)houses. Is this a proper method, or was it used in order to simplify? IP: Logged |

I think that's why I'm confused too, because of counting the houses with relationship signs... that and because I once posted a question here about something similar and someone told me to forget the signs the planets fell into, but to pay attention to the houses... so I'm wondering if that applies here too?IP: Logged |

When you were told to pay more attention to the house locations, they didn't mean for aspects. The House location of one's partner indicates the area in life where they will affect you for good or bad the most. Aspects ignore houses and are strictly interrupted by the +/- 1 degree rule of thumb.Lanny IP: Logged |

AquarianGirl, I was told by a very good astrologer friend to look at squares like this:Building Blocks... See, with too much "harmony" and not enough challenges/places to conflict, it is hard to grow within the relationship. Squares in synastry or otherwise, give you (singular or plural) expereinces that foster strength. ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |
