..ummmm i have Venus in Gemini and i've never cheated, but the again i am a Taurus...I think with the Venus in Gemini, they have to have a strong mental connection if that makes sense, umm have to be able to communicate with the partner very well. IP: Logged |

ineedlove - understand that Gemini is a mutable sign, and Venus is a receptive planet, so this placement is highly variable and easily influenced for better or worse by other aspects in the native's chart, even though there will be some general commonalities among most Gem Venusians.Take this particular indiviudal for example: his Sun and moon are squared cardinal signs. This means there's a lot of contradictions between his emotional makeup and his overall personality. Since these are cardinal signs, this conflict can easily influence, even overpower and dominate, his Gemini Venus. Also his Venus is Squared his Mars and Jupiter - this is extremely difficult for the native realtionship wise: his needs and capacity to love genuinely are in one direction, his impulses and curiousity are in another. With both planets in Mercurial signs, this conflicts would make him a nervous sort that would be prone to make anxiety-based decisions, which are rarely wise ones. Lastly, his moon is in a sign that is very uncomfortable for moon energies. Moon energies are receptive, introverted, emotional, sensitive, conscientious; Aries is aggressive, assertive, rash, impulsive, selfish. Aries doesn't "get" the moon energies very readily, and so consequently, Aries moon people are highly suspectible to misreading their own emotional makeup and making very poor choices based on misguided impulses to meet their emotional needs. Add these things together, and you can see how his Gem Venus is in a the middle of a mass of inner conflict that is not stable enough on its own to overcome. Do in the end the likelihood of this native manifesting the negative side of a Gem Venus is greater than usual. This doesn't excuse anyone for being unfaithful, but perhaps this may shed so light on why this particular individual acts in this way. In a more positive light, Gem Venus is actually very capable of being faithful and making a long-term relationship work, because it is so flexiable, responsive, comunicative and adaptable. Gemini is one of the Venus signs most capable of "growing" with the realtionship and with their partner over time. Gem Venus natives are often very curious about their partner and earnestly want understand their partner very well, and thus is usually capable of intiating rapport that helps both partners open up. A Gem Venus native often is emotionally hypersensitive and doesn't like brutishness or harshness in relationship (on the recieving end, that is - some can be a contradiction in that they can be rather harsh or even violent toward they partners, as this is an easily stressed and anxious Venus placement, but that would depended largely on other aspects in the chart and on personal circumstances). But in most cases, if a Gem Venus native can get the stimulating responsiveness, kindness and patience from their partners that they need and long for, they have no problem being faithful. As for being a Gem Venusian myself: - no I've never cheated on anyone, and the thought is offensive to me. But also, my Venus is conjunct Saturn, which stablizing my Venus, and I have Virgo rising with Mars in Aqua in the 6th that makes me a person of my word and very principle-oriented. Furthermore my moon is in Pisces in the 7th - I am a very devoted partner by nature. - yes I can love more than one person at a time, but I also am very aware that I do not love them the same. - yes I get bored easily. But instead of leading people on, I tend to remain detached until I feel there's genuine connection with the person. When I get bored, I don't start "shopping around" - I just want out. I don't jump from relationship to relationship either, but have always taken a break from relationships inbetween. The break I've been on now has been for 8 years. LOL. IP: Logged |

Saturn in Tau (but at 29.7 degree and conjunct to Venus in Gem so it's a bit Gemish)

ineedlove- my venus, sun and moon are in the same signs as the person who's chart you posted. And yes, I admit, I have cheated on partners when I was younger (In three relationships to be exact). In my defence, the relationships were not serious- the high school kind- and the people that I cheated on were the kind of people who would've done the same thing to me- and did. That said though, I certainly learned a lesson and if I were blessed with a relationship now, I would never want to cause my partner such pain... I can't say for sure that it never would happen though, but I'd be much stronger in fighting the temptations now.And as to why I cheated when I did, well it was mostly about insecurity. As I mentioned the people that I cheated on were the kind who easily could have cheated on me, and of course I knew this, so I in some cases tried to use my cheating as an excuse to stay with the person- I didn't want to see myself as a doormat for staying with a person who had cheated on me, so by doing the same thing I 'balanced the scales'. In other cases it was just a case of boredom + falling for someone else, I guess (and those were the times when my guilt really got to me, especially after the last occassion after which I decided I could never do it again).

And Cassiopeia, approx. what age we're you when the infedelity happended? Also do you have any more planets in Gemini?
And what made these people you dated appear as prone to cheat? What is the best way to keep a venus in gemini from cheating (if they do)

I was 16 at the time (that was an eventful year.. and btw I'm 19 now)... and Venus is my only planet in Gemini. In one case, I knew the guy already had cheated on me (and he had cheated in most of the relationships before me, he had the reputation of being quite a player too), in the other two cases I didn't know anything about their activities at the time that I cheated on them but I felt insecure about their feelings for me as it seemed that they might be playing me too- in one case there was a serious lack of communication between us, we lived in different cities and didn't speak too often, in the other case he had gone from being affectionate and caring towards me to almost completely cold towards me (and afterwards I found out that the first one of them had cheated on me, and the second is very likely to have done so too from what I've later heard).I can't really speak for all the unfaithful venus in geminis but for myself, the best way to keep from cheating (besides my own morals + guilt) would be to know that my partner had genuine feelings for me and would be faithful to me, and to know also how hurt my partner would be if I were unfaithful. The temptation might still be there but knowing how much I would be putting at stake would make me think twice. Hope this helps... IP: Logged |

Sometimes gemini's can be quite picky. They need to be satisfied mentally, physically, and mentally. They get bored easily. I have met skanky gemini men and I have met sweet and loyal ones. Everyone is different.
He was just a a cheater and definitely did not deserve you.

You are a Taurus and you commit your heart slowly, Gemini needs reassurance every day all the time. If you did not give that reassurance than don't feel sad.Once you show how you feel more openly and describe what you need from a man, you will find more who are willing to be patient. Venus in Gemini also needs lots of affection,
and Taurus is a little withdrawn about that at the start. Remember you can always hug or touch a man to keep his interest, leading on is okay as long as you dont' get attached or give too much. I don't know if Venus in Gemini is very loving or deeply attached or not, but I assume it's bound up in affection because that's what one has told me. Natasha

One of my best friends has Venus in Gemini and she is one of the most loyal and faithful people I know in her relationships. She has Moon in Virgo and Sun in Caner, but I don't even see the flirt thing with her - I wonder why this is? xIP: Logged |

I know this thread is old but I want to say that I am too a Venus in Gemini and have never cheated. Sometimes I feel that I am very picky with who I choose to commit to since I dont want to waste time in just any relationship. I definitely need someone who is a talker, listener and someone that gives feedback. Not sure if this is a gemini trait but I feel the need to have the perfect partner. Meaning everything I desire in someone that person has to have that trait or else it wont go any further lol.IP: Logged |
