Why is it that often we get insanely attracted to the ones that are the least matched to us? I know astrology should not be the only guide to good relationships but has anyone relly broken that barrier?

I have seen so many squares and oppositons in Lindaland and a lot of them seem to work but a lot dont and leave, with the heartache, the knowledge that it was not meant to be and you knew that from the start and could've saved yourself a lot of hurt and pain.

I have posted a similar thread in Astrology but later realised Soul Unions is probably a better place for this discussion. Would you like to share your experience abt an astrologically unconventional relationship and how the magic of true love and affection helped smooth out the wrinkles?

I wish I could help you here, lovely lady, but alas, astrology wise, any relationship that was not compatible in synastry for me, was not compatible in real life. But I had not actually looked into the charts until after the relationships ended, so I wouldn't have been aware that we were not ''matched according to the stars''... the love just faded, or we went wrong somewhere. It is terribly painful to love someone very much, and know that your differences are too great for it to work out. On the contrary, I have also had an insanely compatible person, (astrology wise) whom I still do care for very much, but that I could see myself messing things up with very badly... as I always do. And I had to let him go... so I hear you sister, your pain is something I have very recently dealt with...

to you on this blue day...

Honestly for me, in the past, it was self-esteem issues, I couldn't get a guy who could treat me right since I treated myself badly.

This last guy, he seriously at first made himself attainable, and we were pretty well matched, except for his Venus in Aries. I learned that Aries Venus just doesn't slide well with me at all. I left that guy so fast, omg haha.

So, I haven't really had an astrologically unconventional relationship within the past 4 years, it's just the Aries Venus. I bet if I could find a dude with all of the other planets with Venus in like...Taurus maybe, it'd be so much better!

*sigh*

You are so right about the self esteem, the men who are unattainable always seem to attract women with low self worth, and another kind of woman who is the buddy.

When I feel my self worth sliding, I do attract comforting men who are married or dating someone else, it's because I am vulnerable. It's temporary, but men know and want to be with someone who is a challenge every once in a while. I guess the best way is to be demanding, in the ways that he is giving,
