Hi there!
I've been with my boyfriend for going on two years now. He's the most important person I've been with romantically... I never really consider things like marriage or children seriously, but with this Libra, I do. It scares me! Our communication is really challenged. He has a very hard time opening up, and basically never does. He has always had loads of acquaintances, but has sometimes said he feels he never had a true friend. What's in our charts!? Help! Me:

Ok, whoops. Here's the composite horoscope.
I'm really concerned about our relationship right now...he can be very cold and distant at times to the point of not wanting to be touched. What is that? It hurts my feelings to no end, and if I try to voice my hurt, he just gets upset and says I'm trying to make him feel bad. As said earlier, our communication can really suck.
I sometimes question our compatibility. When he's in a good mood, no one could be more loving and sweet. But when he's irritable for any reason, he wants to be left alone, and least of all to be touched. (so the idea of a comforting hug is anathema to him) Any insight would be great guys, thanks. Hi,
I don't really get any vibes about your relationship. But, wanted to give you a little post on the subject.Pulling away from communication is a fairly common guy trait, especially when they have problems with work or relationships. I haven't met a man yet who didn't do that. The not wanting to be touched part is a concern. With a sun in libra and moon in sagittarius, It's odd that he's not more loving and talkative with many friends. Are you sure the birth time is correct? What's his rising sign? I also have sun in taurus and moon in leo, that combination makes me very proud and opinionated. Sometimes my attitude can be bossy and perfectionist. Libra (and Sag) love their freedom, if he feels controlled by you that could explain why he pulls away. Does he respect your opinions and counsel? Maybe you could decide if you like him for who he is currently or what you see he could be? I know I have been guilty of this before. Good luck to you both.

Heya, thanks for responding.Interesting to meet another taurus sun, leo moon person! I know we're noble, stubborn and opinionated as hell, but am not sure if that's the problem. And if it is, what am I supposed to do about it?
We're pretty sure that's his birthtime, he's adopeted, but his adopted mom is fairly certain he was born at 2am.
He's great at talking to a vast variety of people when necessary (work etc), but secretly doesn't seem able to let people close. Both sag's and libras seem to have a bit of this in them...it's like socializing lets off steam, but isn't an avenue to tunnel into the core of other people's beings. He doesn't seem to probe like a cancer, ponder like a bull or analyze like a virgo...those are the most important signs in my chart. Sometimes I think the only thing saving us is my mercury in gemini, my moon in leo and his venus in virgo. But I still love him...And to answer your question, I love him as he is now, and for what he could be. And at particularly zen moments, for who he was.

I think you have a good attitude about your relationship. Maybe his not wanting to be touched stems from his being adopted. I don't know if he was in foster homes or not, but I had a male friend who was and had a similar touching thing.Being that you are a sun taurus and venus in cancer, like myself. I know you are very intuitive. You probably know or can sense what the real problem is. If you feel so inclined, maybe you could be there for him, help him to open a little, and work through the issues. I hope the leo full moon is kind to you. I'm happy to have met you, running bull! I can't get over the similarities in our charts. My goodness, I'm kind of in shock here. I'm envious of your Saturn, Mars and Jupiter placements (I've secretly always resented having so much Virgoan influence in my chart!!).
What do you do, if you don't mind me asking? I find I have a tremendous need for self-expression, it's almost unstoppable. I'm not necessarily success driven, it's more this need to share my inner thoughts. I am an art student, and have always been involved in writing, music and art. I'm also drawn to the healing arts as well...counselling, reiki, naturopathy, yoga, meditation etc. Oops, back on topic for a sec! The fact that my boyfriend is adopted has definitely crossed my mind as a potential cause for this aversion to intimacy at times. The thing is, he's had the most loving and stable adopted family since infancy. I know there must be deep scars on your psyche and soul from being separated from your parents at birth, but I was curious to whether his chart had some answers to. I do know several libras who are standoffish around true affection and intimacy. They excel at social graces, but aren't good in a heart to heart setting. I wonder whether I didn't just stumble onto something there...maybe he needs some energy or unblocking in his heart chakra...something along those lines... Sigh, it's so hard to tell. Sometimes I feel I need a lover that isn't as delicate as he is... I feel his need for balance and harmony make him susceptible to irritiablity or detachment when things aren't perfect. But at other times, his nature awes me, and I feel so privileged to be let in so close to such a gentle being. Ah, libras... Have you ever dated one? Anyhoo, thanks for responding. I'm going to try and check out that leo moon now!

Hi Silvana,It was weird when referencing your chart I kept thinking "wow, I have that too". I do billing for a company that makes tchotkes (sp?). Nothing creative there, lol. But, I do draw, write, and paint in my spare time. Be happy about the virgo in your chart. I have 5 water and 4 fire signs affecting me on a daily basis. Some days I yell and cry at the same time, lol. Seriously, more earth would have done a power of good in my chart.
But, I am totally satisfied and accepting of the way I am. I have dated a libra, but never serious enough were we got to really know each other. For some reason I am partial to Virgo's and Aries. Btw, the Leo moon was kind to me. I have had a fairly lovely day and hope you did also. IP: Logged |

You DO have a your fair share of water, don't you? I still feel a little tiny bit disgruntled about having 3 planets in virgo. I think that a lot of earth can contribute to depression, it's a crazy theory i have... and i've also read a lot mutable planets can lead to instability too.. (See, i'm just trying to figure out why i can be crazy!)
That's good that you've accepted everything in your chart, very wise. I have NO idea what tchotkes are! The fact that you do billing is good, we bulls are supposedly great when dealing with finances. (I'm not the typical bull in this regard!!)

Hi astro twin, Tchotkes are little nick nacks or brickabrack, that one might display in say a curio cabinet. Your grandparents probably display some, lol.  Taurus is supposed to be good with money. Um... but, i'm better dealing with other's versus my own... typical,lol. I agree about mutable planets, they can definitely make most decisions difficult. How is it having venus in cancer in the 12th? I have venus in cancer in my first house and fight a never ending battle against big buttedness, lol.  My moon in leo is the only thing keeping me at a healthy size (that leo ego, primp, and pride). IP: Logged |
