For some reason I never noticed it before (especially considering that I'm such an astrology buff ) but I was surprised to realize that the Sun of the guy I love is in the same sign as my father's Sun, and his Moon is in the same sign as my mother's Moon! Really amazing when you consider that the Sun represents the father & men in one's life, and the Moon represents the mother & women. ...So maybe there's some truth after all to the belief that we are searching for our parents in the people we fall in love with. You know, this is interesting... my boyfriend is a virgo and my father's a libra, but my bf has mercury, venus, mars, and pluto in libra, all crammed in a four degree space, so in a lot of ways he is very libra. His moon is aries, which is my mother's sun sign. His ascendent is sag, which is my sun sign. Very cool!IP: Logged |

wow cool indeed In addition to Mr. Aries sharing my dad's Sun, he also shares his Mercury and Venus. Hmmm curiouser and curiouser... IP: Logged |

my boyfriend's sun is conjunct my dad's sun (and my south node!) and his moon is conjunct my moon, which could also relate to my mom. there are more, like his and my dad's marses are both in taurus, etc.. definitely some significance to this! IP: Logged |

What if you have a rocky relationship, or are detached from one or both of your parents?IP: Logged |

I think it would still be significant either way. My relationship with my dad wasn't great (to put it mildly ), and he and I clashed on so many things. Yet I find myself attracted to someone who shares some of the same planets as my dad (who passed away last year). Although personality-wise and in their looks my dad and Mr. Aries are VERY different, they still have those common planetary vibrations going on. And which I may be attracted to on a subconcious level, despite myself. ...So yes I do think that even if we have a bad relationship with our parents, we may still be attracted to some aspects of them in other people, even if it is just through a similar astrological vibration. I'm not sure my mother's birthtime, so she has either Gemini or Cancer moon. I do not know my biological father, but my stepdad has Virgo sun. I have never been attracted to any Gemini moon males, but once had a crush on a Virgo from work. A trend I have noticed is that most of my love interests have their moon trine, or conjunct my Mom's sun, and their sun trine my stepdad's sun.IP: Logged |

My dad is a virgo, and my mom a cancer. My boyfriend has his venus in virgo. His ascendant is leo, and my mother's moon is in leo. Hmm!IP: Logged |
