Hi all. I have a few questions regarding Venus-Pluto relationships. According to Linda's book my guy have venus conjunct pluto. Me with Venus in Virgo and he with Pluto in Virgo. To which I became very excited behind the possibilities of being "twin souls" or "soulmates". We also share alot of other conjunctions and karmic ties. The confusion comes in because other sites where I've had compatibility charts done stated I had Venus in Libra. So would that cancel out the Venus-Pluto connection? I do have natally (venus-conjunct Pluto in Libra) and my guy has a Venus in Scorpio and a Pluto in Virgo. But when I look at our composite chart where both planets are combined -- we have Venus in Libra and Pluto in Libra. So do we end up still having a Venus-conjunct Pluto? I'm totally confused. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,

each site or astrologer can interpret astrological data differently. if you are closer to one sign the data could be interpreted as the next sign (or house) in line, hence the Virgo to Libra change.

if you do a synastry chart on astro. com, you will be able to see the conjunction. Just locate both of your planets, Pluto is a big P and Venus is the female sign, it looks like an o with a t under it and no "horns". the similar symbol with "horns" on top is mercury, which is another excellent sign to investigate in synastry. the conjunction should look like the signs are in direct line with each other. good luck.

Enter your natal chart into astro.com and see where astro.com places your Venus.

One of the shortfalls of Relationship Signs, in my opinion, is that it's synastry by sign only, not by degree. It's a great intro to synastry, but true synastry is going to take into account the exact degrees. But the book is fun for someone who will read it once or twice and never give it another thought, you know? Plus I love the interpretations, I still use those

Having said that, assuming you do indeed have Venus in Virgo, a way that you can check whether your Venus and Pluto are indeed conjunct is to look at the degree Venus is in on your natal chart and the degree Pluto is in on his natal chart (You can find this info if you look at your respective birth/natal charts on astro.com).

If for example you have Venus at 15 Virgo and he has Pluto at 15 Virgo, then that is an exact conjunction, very powerful aspect to have in synastry. If say, your Venus is at 12 Virgo and his Pluto is at 15 Virgo, it's still conjunct, just not exact and still powerful. If say, you have Venus at 3 Virgo and he has Pluto at 28 Virgo, then you actually don't have a conjunction at all.

Does that make sense? Most people use an orb of 5 degrees for conjunctions, so if your Venus and his Pluto are futher apart than that, then they aren't considered conjunct.
