**I posted this in Astrology but decided to post it here as well.

I'm wondering what other people's experiences have been in relationships where connections to the South Node were involved, particularly the conjunction. Did you find it hard to break away from that person? I know that South Node connections can show a strong comfortableness with a person. There is a real 'ease' to the relationship and it can be hard to seperate. But it can also be very draining. And shows of course, that it is a karmic relationship, where you have been together before in the past. But unlike the North Node the relationship is not 'pulling you forward'. The South Node relationship is 'pulling you back into comfortable, familiar territory'.
I have this mutual connection with someone. His Venus is conjunct my South Node and my Mars is conjunct his South Node.

I also wonder about Chiron connections. My Chiron is conj. his Sun and his Chiron is opposite my Pluto.

Then there is his Pluto conj. my Moon and my Sun conj. his Moon exactly. His Mars in Capricorn exactly trine my Sun, blah, blah, blah.

This relationship has been long since over but we still live together and it's way too comfortable and old. We need to break away. We are both feeling held back. But at the same time it's not an urgent need. Like I said, too comfortable and easy. No romantic feelings left but we care for each other on a deep friendship/companionship level.

Maybe it's partly due to the fact that we are both Taureans and is just easier for us not to change. LOL Are we doomed to be glued together for life?

Anyone care to share any South Node connections relationships theyve had and if you noticed it as being a hard one to move on from?

My ex, best friend, boyfriend or whatever the hell he is has his south node conjunct my sun. I am not an expert so I don't really know what else it would mean.

But We do have a hard time not tlaking to eachother. We always feel the need to be around eachother. I can feel it through him too but I just hope it isn't unhealthy.I have tried walking away even as a friend but I can't. Either we end up calling eachother again or he doesn't let me walk away when i'm mad. We always get drawn back to eachother.

Another question to add to the mix:

What if his South Node is conjunct my South Node?

Does this fall in the same lines, or are we talking about planets other than your node?

Inquiring minds do want to know...

With my ex-husband... My Sun and Mars are conjunct his South Node... and his Sun and Venus are conjunct my South Node.

I do still talk to him and find it hard to break away. It's like he's a constant presence in my life... but the thing is... I don't want to make it sound like I hate him and can't get rid of him... he's my best friend and he says the same of me, I'm very comfortable with him... We just do not work at all as a couple.

The South Node conjunctions are interesting to say the least.

Wow, very interesting AG.

Same here.

BlueTopaz124,

I dont know if that is very significant. Are you around the same age? If so, that makes sense and everyone born around the same time will have their SN conj. yours. I think the planets are more significant. If Nodes trine, square etc each other and then with more connections to back them up, then I think that could be considered important.

That's interesting SBM. Sounds like a typical SN connection. Hard to break the ties to each other.

The guy I have been writing about (the Libra one) I realise now that my S.Node is opposite his Sun - does that have more of an effect than the conj? Now to answer your questions ladies,I am finding it extremely difficult to cut free, would this be one of the reasons? x

Sue G

I think, if his SN is opposite your Sun, that would automatically mean that your NN is conjunct his sun!!!

And that certainly is a hart-to-break-free aspect.
