Does anyone have an experience where this has worked? It seems that Venus in Aries just does not work well with Venus in Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. I do have Moon in Cancer, and Uranus in Libra, but even if these do not aspect a man's Venus it seems the relationship is always sad, or is overwhelming.Has anyone else had a square experience? I have experience and the sex wasn't great. We went about it so differently.

Yes Natasha I have, The guy was Venus in Cancer, which trined my moon saturn and pluto but thats about it, squared my Venus and wasn't really going with my Mars or Sun Gemini either. I found that:
1. as mentioned before, we had different attitudes towards sex and diff sex drives,
2. he had a preconceived idea of how a woman should be, which was very different from my idea of how i wanted to be--venus in cancer can be dominating in the "dress like this, cook like that" way, i love to dress up and cook but in my own style. i am also really independent and like having male friends, so that was a big problem here
3. different attitudes about relationships and commitment
4. different emotional involvement in the relationship
5. different ideas of beauty, whats beautiful, if i thought i was dressed pretty, he thought i should wear a different color, or if i decorated the house one way he would want it another!
6. i also noticed, different attitudes towards women in general. I thought his mom had no effing business in our lives but he was too involved with her, and she was too controlling and influential in the end i literally said you know this is almost Oedipal, I think maybe ur mom is jealous of me and she needs more than her husband, she needs some sort of perverted loving from you so just go to her and leave me alone (!). Venus in cancer men can have some sick obsession with their mothers, and morphing their lovers into what their mothers were like, it was disturbing in the extreme for me  SG IP: Logged |

I am Venus in Libra and I had a relationship with a Cancer Sun/Venus in Cancer man. We didn't live together, but the magnetism (positive and negative) of the Venus square was definitely in evidence. He married a woman with Venus in Virgo and as far as I know they are still together...
I also lived with a Virgo man with Venus in Cancer for three years. We had a good relationship and understood each other pretty well, but he had some problems with his ex-wife, started drinking heavily, and our relationship fell apart.
So I guess to answer your question, it didn't work, although I still think about them from time to time, 25 years later...IP: Logged |

dear natasha,i share that aspect with my virgo sun/gemini moon friend (i have venus in aqua, and he has venus in scorp). things work well between us (when he's not in a depressive state - he's the one with venus in the 12th house), *but* our venuses are antiscia to each other. my venus is at 18° aqua and his is 12° scorp. our venuses sort of mirror each other; it sort of works like a combination of an opposition and conjunction, i think. chrissy IP: Logged |

I like someone with venus in Aqua and i have venus in libra....but he is a pisces too and he seemed kinda 'watery' in his expression and me being a fiery saggie want it to be a little more rough...but then my mars/venus libra wants to please my lover...he also has mars in scorpio tooIP: Logged | |
