I have just taken part in a workshop called "Scars and attachment and Souvenirs of Love". This is the second one I have attended within 7 months and OMG I will never forget what I saw and felt. Basically you get the chance to do healing on your family, whether they be still alive or passed over. For example there was a guy in his 30s whod never met his birth mother and father, had been put up for adoption when he was four months and then went on to be abused by his adopted mother, Basically the only connection he had was with his adopted father. In the constellation he got the chance to meet his real mum and dad and tell them how he felt. You get to choose people from the group to be representatives of your family - and it has an awesome effect. Well the thing that I wanted to share with you guys is the woman who took the course, a very strong and gentle Scorpio said a couple of things that blew me away. Firstly she said "if you dont look at what happened in your family, sure enough your children will carry your burden " she also stressed how important it is that the parents always give and the children always take. There were 20 of us there and 10 got to do their family constellation. We learned how we substitute the love of our mother and father with drugs, booze, relationships (looking for that place of bliss we never got as a kid). Guys it was so healing I would love to hear if anyone else got to take part in this work. Burt Hellinger was the guy who devised it and I am trying to get hold of some of his books to read at the moment. So if anyone out there has had any experience of his work, I would love to hear. I feel it increases the compassion levels to ourselves and others and helps us to really LOOK at the truth - strong stuff, scary, poweful and very healing - love to all Sue xxxIP: Logged |

sue, this sounds magical! An amazing outlet for childhood issues that were never resolved, baggage that we drag with us to adulthood and then unconsciously pass to the next generation.... I'm reading a book about Pluto by Steven Forrest, and this is the same topic of the chapter I'm on! This also sounds really Neptunian.... I thought I had an idyllic childhood, but perhaps I have suppressed memories that were painful and that's part of why I drowned my feelings with alcohol for so many years.... Thanks for sharing this! {{HUGS}} 'zalaIP: Logged |

Wow that sounds like a great opportunity for healing.. I am so glad you got to take part in that. I suppose everyone carries baggage to some degree.... perhaps more than we realize... and even if it was all in all pretty good, still.. there are your own feelings growing during such a time of innocence, who can get it perfect, right? After all, I am a mom.. so if I put myself in my mom's shoes, I can see for myself how hard it is to integrate the parenting side with the woman side. i think we could all use a little healing in the area that is forever in the past. We can't ever be kids again.. we can't ever get it right.. *except in the next incarnation, I suppose* Thanks.IP: Logged | |
