I was reading through an astrology book earlier today and came across something that was quite scary..scorpio rising women tend to lose their partners at a very young age. You are steamy!Probably has that old school doom and gloom astrology bend...
The fact that Scorpio rules 'Death' ( to say the least) ... to have it in your first house.. as in 'personality' maybe you'd attract it?
I wouldn't worry terribly... Rethink the interpretation based upon what you know or can learn about this placement.

I would agree with Pix. I am Scorpio Rising and, I actually met my husband while we were in High School. Thankfully, he is still here and, that was about 15 years ago  He was, however, hit by a truck when he was 6 years old and, is very lucky to have made it.  As I said though, we were teenagers when we got together so... if that would be applicable to us, hopefully he's dodged that fate, for both of us!!  Just don't put too much into the 'doomed' aspects, there are plenty of good ones to counter them. Besides, every sign has a few of those anyway.~ geminstone IP: Logged |

Simply not true!! A poor interpretation at best...and I agree with pixelpixie, it probably has to do with Scorpio's old style 'death' interps...absolutely ridiculous! I have never had death close to me whatsoever....I would view it as less to do with death and other people...Scorpio Asc would perhaps mean 'death' (not physical) of YOU as you know you...a continual transformation and evolvment of your person. Seeking deeper depths... ONLY IF, you are of the Scorp persuasion who seeks to spiritually evolve and learn the lessons life passes out to you...as opposed to those unfortunate Scorp-types who never seem to learn...yet think they know it all!! PixiePixie...Here is my chart. Lots of water. I have a grand water trine with uranus in first, sun in 5th, and moon in 9th. I do consider myself very steamy LOL..plus venus in aqua makes me a little, shall we say, open-minded.I didn't really read too much into the whole scorpio rising thing. It was just something that I came across in a book and it said that astrologers have found a weird coincidence that scorpio rising women "tend" to lose their spouses at a relatively young age. My hubby and I were also high school sweethearts and will be together 10 years at the end of this month..So I took it with a grain of salt, but thought it was quite interesting..anyway posted my data so you could see what aspects I have.. Thanks for all of the input.
