When I went to have a shiatsu session yesterday, at one point I was so relaxed and felt like I was tripping out......an image of someone came into my mind.....he stood in front of me......pure as can be....and my love runneth over for him....my heart chakra felt HUGE!!

Today i spoke to this Virgo...he has friends who seem to take a lot from him at times.....he said he doesnt mind.....that is what Virgos are here to do...serve...

What a lovely soul he has...I am everso glad I know him....what a lucky woman I am to be married to him....

Hi Future

How are you girl?

Yeah is a Virgo, always was, always will be.......such a lovely sense of purity about him.....such a paradoxical statment, as he loves dark stuff...death metal, horror films etc and yet there isnt a DARK bone or muscle in his body. I have seen more darkness going in and out of the catholic churches......now that is scary stuff........

Now that's interesting, Sue G... Your husband, kind, gentle, giving, etc. but he is into horror movies and such? I have noticed before that there are people out there as sweet as could be who have a rather surprising taste in movies? I remember this professor I had in college whose area of expertise was in Rennaissance Poetry, but who saw "Full Metal Jacket" several times, and other violent movies. (Never knew his sign. Once saw him take the subway after classes, and I remember thinking that it was incongruous to see him in such a crude environment. I told him I would have expected him to ride home on a puffy cloud, and he blushed. He was that kind of a guy...) My husband who is a gentle soul also, loves violent movies too. In fact, whenever we watch a movie where nothing blows up and nobody dies, I always tease him that he must really be disappointed... And he is, btw. , LOL!
Do you have any theories on why this is, this disparateness of nature and taste? Does it mean that inside those guys are wild and destructive, but they only allow themselves to experience those feelings vicariously through movies and books?

Probably something close to that Loggerhead. I'm not extraordinarily into violent movies, but I absolutely loved Fight Club. There was a bit of art and message in that movie, though. A violent movie I'd not like to see again is American History X. Some really terrible scenes in that one. I don't honestly remember much of Taxi, but I don't think I cared for that one either.

Anyway, back to the point. I think I personally when I see movies that involve men in extremely physical ways it reminds me of my youth, and maybe stirs a more primal admiration for our form and the power our bodies can be capable of. Jackie Chan just astounds me. I do secretly long for his limberness and strength. If I think of myself living in ancient times I imagine myself a lean and clever hunter.

No not at all Logger........he likes to be frightened, spooked, not particuarly into violence....different thing.....that would worry me a bit......it is more occultish.....8th house stuff.......

He is the least violent person living....never had a fight....but like me, he is drawn to certain elements of the dark side..........I understand this.......it is almost a form of escape, I feel........

mmm.....violent movies.....could be deeper stuff going on....I wouldnt even like those films to be brought into our home TBH. Yes maybe it is repressed anger etc and the watcher is symbolically living our their repression by watching......yeah I think it is that..cos I love intense and passionate love stories, and that would be a very big part of my nature......

LOL, Sue, -- I am usually the one throwing stuff, but no knives so far, .
We do have some pretty obnoxious aspects, his Mars and Saturn conj. my Asc, Sun and Mars square Uranus. Don't know how we ever ended up together, lol!

Note: I didn't mean to suggest that he watches gratuatious (spelling??) violence. There has to be meaning and a good story and a point to the whole thing. He is not a freaking maniac, lol!

BTW, I used to watch movies with subtitles, but since marrying him, I have come to appreciate Terminator movies also... There is something to be said for lots of action and excitement, and thrills. But some, like Gladiator, or The Patriot, or The Last Samurai -- even though the stories are great, they are extremely hard to watch. during those kinds of movies I hide behind my hands a lot of the times. Without peeking.

SueG,
Thanks for complementing us Virgos, even though I'm not Virgo male. Many people focus on our negative traits. They don't realize that we're gentle sensitive people within our hearts.

Virgos are analytical types and interact the world through observation. This can mean they appear a bit "on the sidelines" - like how he's into death metal and horror films but still seems "apart" from it. However, Virgos are likewise profoundly influenced by what they observe, being Mercurial, they are far more impressionable than they appear.

it's been my experience that death metal is a form of self-isolation. It's a delibertly offensive and shocking music and subculture that revels in being rejected by "nice" mainstream people. I used to listen to death metal a lot when I was younger, and so I kind of know a bit about this. Many people into death metal tend to have very poor interpersonal skills and a little too focused on their own personal power (hence why themes of dominating/raping/killing women, injuring/killing others, other forms of violence, terrorism and fascism tend to be common). As a norm I wouldn't say it's an healthy hobby although I know there's a tendency in our culture to be too subjective and think things liek this are simply "individuality". Hopefully he'll get bored with it on an intellectual level (death metal people aren't exactly a high brow type, mostly) and move away from it in his own time. But if he's attracted to death metal due to deeper psyhcological or emotional issues he has yet to confront, it may not be as innocent as it appears ont he surface, and may in fact be doing him a bit of harm.

The horror film thing is big in the US, and like video games, it's a form of escapism for many young people. It's also somewhat addictive and socially isolating, like video games. In extreme cases of obsession, it can severely inhibit healthy emotional expression and create an inner imbalance through the overexposure of graphic and over-stimulating imagery.

So don't rationalize this simply because he seems nice. These aren't what i'd consider the healthiest activities for young people to be involved with today.

And sicne I'm catholic, yeah I know how frightening some of thing going on in it are, but it's a poor analogy. This indiviudal may by choice be afflicting himself with very poor and harmful influences, for reasons unknown - just because you can't see the harm it's doing to him doesn't mean it isn't doing harm.

The sweet and lovely Virgo I talk of is my 36 year old husband..........LOL........not a young boy or teenager.

Deeper emotional issues????? WOW......I would say he is one of the most balanced people in my life....a little detached at times, but not dysfunctional. I met a few guys into this scene who actually are very good and well balanced people...

I can see where you are coming from girl, but to be honest there are more offensive things coming out of the catholic church (especially here in Ireland) than there are coming out of the metal scene. I wont go into too much detail but they involved priests and children....

As for him not being nice....I have been with him for the past 16 years and he is the MOST decent person I ever knew.....in fact I trust my life with him....he has saved mine a couple of times to TBH....

I was a little surprised to see what you wrote,,,,,but then again if you thought it was my SON i was writing of, then I would understand a little more........

Thanks for your post......

Love

Gem

I just read your post again and realised you said that you used to listen to death metal?????

So are you in part, talking about yourself then girl? And would you consider yourself not particulary "high brow".....is this a self criticism, as well as having a pop at my Virgo man.....

SueG,
You not alone sis.Gem did the same to me on the Universal Code forum. She had the nerve to tell me what musicians to worship. She shouldn't judge people she doesn't know, especially your husband. She's probably jealous because she doesn't have a man or going through a painful marriage/divorce.

Keep on keepin' on girl.

Thanks for that Peace.....I just thought her reaction to my comments very strange and irrational, but if that is her style maybe she does need to look at her own life too......usually the case hey girl...

I went thro two painful divorces too, so understand what that brings, but hopefully I didnt act harshly to others because of my own anger/hurt

Appreciate your support and honesty.....

Love

Quote from my very nice Virgo husband:

"any judgement of one's muscial taste in my opinion shows bigotry and a reluctance to be open minded"

Live and learn hey Gem.......
