Go here and select overview: http://astrologysoftware.com/new_oracles/f&l/index.asp?orig=OldOracle

Astrologically, each individual is represented by a chart of the planets at the moment of birth. By comparing and contrasting the interrelationships of two separate charts, the astrologer can reveal the many ways and many levels that two people relate with each other. This is the astrological art of synastry as it has been practiced for several thousand years.
This report analyzes each of the two selected charts and interprets the astrological connections between them. The text here pertains to this one relationship only, and should be understood in light of the actual nature of the relationship.

Remember that every relationship contains points of similarity and harmony as well as points of conflict and discord. Through understanding, it is possible to cultivate and encourage the positive and harmonious, and keep relationships growing and fruitful through the highs and lows of the passing years.

CONJUNCTIONS. In order for people to be together in a relationship, they must have the ability to be together, to share things, to have some common ground in dealing with their lives.

There are 7 conjunctions between your charts. You may feel that you have a very strong bond with your partner. This feeling of shared identity may create a kind of intimacy that is rarely found in other relationships. At the same time this level of resonance between you and your partner may become an obstacle for your personal development. Seeing your own reflection in the other person doesn't help you to step beyond your own limits. At worst this relationship may have a tendency to become a self-indulgent replication of each partner's personality. To avoid this possibility you should try to keep a certain distance between you, even though at times it may seem somewhat artificial.

OPPOSITIONS. Being together also means being apart. Each partner has something different to offer. An ability to add, to compliment each other is a basis for strong and consistent relationships. One can motivate another person by showing him what he is not.

There are 6 oppositions between your charts. You often find yourselves opposing each other. This is not a relaxing relationship. You may find yourselves drawn to each other as if some irresistible urge brought you together and won't let you apart. There is a constant awareness of the differences between you. An ability to compromise and find reasonable win-win solutions to your mutual problems is essential for keeping your relationship alive.

TRINES. No relationship can last unless it brings comfort and satisfaction to both parties. A certain amount of effortless quality is required for anything to happen.

There are 8 trines between your charts. You are lucky to enjoy natural self-expression as a couple. There is very little effort on either person's part. Relaxed energy is typical for your relationship as well as a level of ease with which you meet each other and interact.

SQUARES. Any long lasting relationship has to be flexible enough to accommodate changing circumstances. Even the sweetest relationship will eventually become stale without timely changes and adjustments. Changes are needed. To keep your partnership fresh and exciting you have to constantly make it into something new.

There are 6 squares between your charts. Your relationship presents a perfect opportunity for mutual development. You appreciate the exciting qualities in your partner and accept the challenge to meet his or her expectations, as well as providing a challenge to be met.

Hmmm, interesting. with my last relationship, which ended on very loving and mutual agreed terms, had 6 conjunctions, 2 oppositions, 8 trines and 9 squares...although I don't remember having that many squares. I wonder what orb they used for squares.

I did the lover's reading for that same relationship and while the strengths all seems to fit what we had together, none of the challenges did, or as they described them. We definitely had challenges however, hence why we are no longer together.

Very interesting indeed.... I have really been studying aspects... recently got "Relationship Signs" I have found that it is not so cut and dry as say Robert Hand... I know we've discussed different views on Pluto/venus stuff... That aspect seems to have alot of different definitions. Anyway, my confusion comes on the squares... they all seem to say "if there is enough good aspects to soften the effect".... what is enough??

6- conj
3- trines
7- sextiles
1- oppo
9- squares

I have a hard time finding info on Aspects involving the ASC. in synastry . Does anyone have any recommendations?
