Love is the surrender of the Self. Lust is the gratification of the Flesh.------------------ Welcome all, good buddies. Be friendly and I'll be nice. IP: Logged |

Yup, I'd agree with you Sue.But I can separate the two. I can lust after many woman, usually of the same type, style, look, like Teri Thatcher, Victoria Principle and Catherine Zeta-Jones. But I have Love for only ONE woman (at a time!). ------------------ Welcome all, good buddies. Be friendly and I'll be nice. IP: Logged |

Separate they are good but together, phenomenal. Lust can have some negative implications, but I prefer to see it more purely, while acknowledging that it can be taken in a different light. Lust to me is fun light and moving, love is deep, transformative and moving.... Lust can be changeable and instant, love can be changeable and instant.... but based on different feelings. Lust is chemical hormonal and body driven, love is chemical, hormonal and body and soul driven. When you are feeling lust, your 'parts' throb and demand attention, when you are feeling love your higher parts throb and demand attention. There are many parallels, yet different implications.. you can have one without the other, but together they are divine.IP: Logged |

I love that everyone has kept Love and Lust TOGETHER! It is a magic of it's own kind and certainly the key is 'knowing' real Love. Lust is the easy part!!Too many people think Lust IS LOVE. That is where most take a wrong turn....without Lust, Love is unable to reach the full spectrum of the physical....it stays within a more narrow range I feel. Does that make sense? Loving someone you are physically attracted to 'somewhat' vs Loving someone you ALSO longingly Lust for are two completely different experiences...Finding that awesome chemical combustion between two people is one of the coolest mysteries of Life! And it can't be manufactured by man/woman (well, maybe we have the edge!!)......It Just IS. True Love + Base Lust = PURE ECSTACY!! GemStar
