I don't think that there have been more people involved in unrequited love situations lately, but I think I have been noticing them simply because my poor little heart has suffered some breakage itself. (Ahhhhh...the worst ever...curses Saturn Return!) Therefore I am passing along a book that has personally helped me to begin to deal with my feelers being crushed and here it is: Zen and the Art of Falling in Love Brenda Shoshanna, PH.D I read it last year and recently dragged it out for a re-read and I'm super glad I did. So if you're feeling a tad aggressive toward the universe while still managing to cling to your faith that everything happens for a reason, I recommend this book to YOU! Love

Thanks, Love! The book sounds interesting. I think most of us have suffered thru the pain of unrequited love... I like to think it adds character! What specifically does this book address about unrequited love??? IP: Logged |

Well, it deals with all aspects of love, but it was helpful to me since I am currently sitting in the unrequited aisle in the supermarket of love. It really just talks about how we all approach love and whether our actions are inspired by love or attachment and how to be in a relationship that is truly love based versus being in one that is about control...etc. etc.Highly recommended for anyone and everyone. LoveThank you to responding to my query on Swerve's thread as to this book. I have begun to read it again and the first words of the second chapter (where I stopped) was exactly what I need to hear at this time in my life. Being less than 2 weeks out of yet another failed attempt at "Love" I was feeling very hopeless. The kind of love that this book speaks of is the kind of love I preach, just not able to practice I originally sought out the book upon reading this thread. Thank you, Terri IP: Logged |

Hippichick ~ Yes, I really found that although reading the book made me cringe sometimes, since I preach it too but do not always follow my own advice, it was a very good reminder for me. Love IP: Logged |
