Topic: Being patient with love?

When you meet someone you could possibly spend the rest of your life with, but due to external circumstances (distance, career changes, etc) how do you find the ability to be patient w/ love? I honestly think I've met the man of my dreams and hes told me before that he thinks I'm amazing but we're both heading in different directions right now - he's tied up with career plans and I'm moving to go to grad school so the timing isn't right right now. And I keep trying to tell myself to be patient but its hard!!! I tried dating others, that didn't work. I'm pretty busy with work right now and soon will be busy with school as well, so maybe that'll help some?? I was just wondering if others have experienced something like this and how they dealt with it. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Yes it happens a lot when mobile and it's not easy to be patient but eventually when you get involved in other things, I have found I see that person as a friend who is there to teach me about passion and life. That person could become a friend for life for you, and teach you quite a bit.Years later you two could meet up and become romantic then, it's very hard to make the transition for some includnig me but it can be done. He will respect you more for it, and who knows about the future? Date others when you are apart but if you want to let him know you still care do not mention those dates. Do not hide anything but do not focus on it when you speak to him, and you know if there is a future if he calls you often. Take Care,

I agree - keep the communication going and you may end up together in the end. These days - with all the technology we have - it's much easier than it used to be to feel close to someone on a daily basis when they are far away. I would definitely maintain some type of relationship with him, even if it's just friendship- you may realize you can't live without each other, and all the rest (work, school) will fall into place.Good luck!! Hi ScrpnBliss,I can understand u, coz i have gone thru these circumstances myself..in fact i must say that after a brief blissful time of being together he got posted to another place and now we are miles apart... but still thanx to the technologies avaliable now ..we r able to be in touch with each other... ScrpnBliss love means being patient  so be patient and if u two ppl r destined to be together then destiny will definitely bring u 2 together again and this time forever.. so utilise this time u hav efficiently concentrate on ur career..oooh am i sounding like a mamma here  so all the Best!
