Many years ago I was married to an Aquarian man.Despite his challenging personality he did something for me I will never forget. He was away on business in New York and on the way home called to the duty free shop to buy me a gift.. Bearing in mind I never wear perfume apart from essential oils and body shop (white musk). I find most of them to be overpowering and sickly. He said to the assistant that he wanted to buy a fragrance for his wife and then went on to describe me in detail... The perfume she recommended was called Je Reviens by Worth...I loved it... It means I will return..... It was one of the most romantic gestures I had received, although since then I have been fortunate to be blessed with other gestures which are as equally thoughtful....and beautiful. I will return.....its almost as though he knew me very well (he wasnt aware at the time of my strong belief in reincarnation) ...I somehow think he never forgot me..... IP: Logged |

I don't think he would've forgotten you either!Thats a beautiful thing. I'm not one for the romantic gesture usually but I like your story because it was a personal, thoughtful thing to do. A lot of people think a big bunch of flowers or a present is romantic but unless there is thought and heart behind it its just for show. My mum had gerberas delivered to me on my 21st birthday because she couldn't be there. They're my favourites and the arrangement was simple and nice. Lovely, thoughtful and something I'd like. My ex had roses delivered to our house one year for my birthday. He knows I hate roses. He then bitched to me about the cost for the next three months while bragging and showing them off to anyone who came to our house. It was more about him than me, 'aren't I a great boyfriend?' he practically screamed. Wow, sorry to rant! I hope you still have fond memories whenever you smell that scent. IP: Logged |

Wow,that is such a beautiful story, sue. Both my father and my oldest son were/are Aquarians, so I understand fully the challenges of which you speak. The funny thing is,just when I've thought they didn't have an ounce of sentimentin them, they would make a gesture (like the one your ex did) that was memorable, touching and lasting beyond belief. These are highly perceptive people who love through their minds which,in the final analysis,is definately connected to their hearts. IP: Logged |
