I don't know if this is what you are talking about but this afternoon I was eating lunch in my car, listening to the radio and reading the section for me and my luvah (lol) in Love Signs. And the 3 songs that came on during the time it took me to read that section were the same 3 songs that have special meaning for Kevin and I. I took it as a sign. I love when stuff like that happens! ------------------ "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget the way you made them feel." -the great, Maya Angelou IP: Logged |

My music teacher said something to me once that had a profound effect on me...he said "music is life altering"And it is, isnt it? I can be brought to my knees by listening to a piece of music, especially classical pieces..... I feel spirit move through me at times.....I lose myself and travel back in time.... It can be surreal But hauntingly beautiful IP: Logged |

Your right with the music, but directly i think the only way the universe can really speak to you is through the messages of its stars and planets, isn't it clearly that, i really didn't think that the universe could speak to you through anything that it didn't create, or doesn't have any connection to, like music and writing, but maybe i'm' wrong i don't know. But I think that a lot of people would agree that its the stars that the universe speaks to people on earth, and the most personal way would be your own fixed natal star report or something like that.------------------ Virgo Rising, Sagittarius Sun, Pisces Moon IP: Logged |

Mama Mia - I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. Music that you actually FEEL. It moves your soul. There really is no way to explain it, but there are certain musical selections that hit you in certain times of your life when it feels like an arrow right through your heart. Music carries very sentimental value for me as well. There are songs that will forever take me back to certain times of my life and tie me to memories forever. Sometimes it moves me to tears, sometimes it makes me want to dance or sing, sometimes it just makes me reflective...but yes, it definitely speaks to me.If I had to guess, I would say that this is a piscean trait...would you agree? Yes, love songs without a doubt. People can always tell when I'm having trouble in a relationship because Sarah Maclaughlin is all I listen to. Her voice is so beautiful and haunting...cuts right through me, and it always seems like almost every song relates exactly to what's going on in my life.I just bought the new Damien Rice CD "9," last weekend, and I took it over to my guy's house. We listened to the whole thing...the music was overwhelming, and what with us being in a new relationship, and just the fact that we were hearing it together just brought so many emotions to the surface. It was so powerful. My dad was a classical musician...he played trumpet. After he passed away last summer, the entire orchestra put on a tribute concert for him. Several brass players that my dad had known over the years came in from all over the country to play this concert. It was incredible...EVERYONE was in tears. I'll never be able to hear the trumpet again without crying. My mom swore when the brass were playing, that she heard my dad's sound, and I know he was there. So, maybe it's not just the universe, but the people that you have loved and lost...that come back to you through music. IP: Logged |

Neptune, I don't think its really that black and white. I don't really know how to explain it.....just know that it can. Yeah, it makes sense that its a piscean thing....I got moon trine neptune over here, certain songs get to my emotions like whoa. Like I was just listening to Mariah Carey's Greatest Hits in the Car and I loved every song on it, I didn't even remember that I was driving. And there's this other song by a Brazilian Artist named Alexandre Pires that's a very sexual song (Quitemonos La Ropa?.....hello! ) but in a very haunting way IMO.I have it on repeat alot when I'm on the comp or in the car. I have a soundtrack to my life too!!! If it were a movie I know exactly what songs I'd put for each scene. Trouble is, I went to make some cds for a friend a few years ago and I ended up with over 200 songs and short notes about where and what I was doing. Gave up right there cos the more I thought of the more I wanted to put on the list. The explanations became longer and longer too. I gave up but I still have the list somewhere. Hmmm, may dig it out and have another crack in celebration of my oldest friend. He just flew into town and is coming to stay indefinately. Music to me is the only thing that can truly sooth my soul. I know it may sound strange but its true, my heartrate slows and my head stops clicking over at a million miles an hour. Music makes me cry when I have something bottled up, even if I don't realise I am holding something in. Secret songs that make me cry every time without fail (they can be a weapon used against me)- Don't dream its over, Crowded house. Don't wanna miss a thing, Aerosmith. IP: Logged |
