Jacob has been at home for a few days with a cold....we have had lots of chats....

He says he thinks its important to be told we are loved. He says he thinks his Dad is "mean" because he only says "I love you" at bedtime, whereas I tell him lots of times. I explained his father is busy working and its difficult for him at times.

He also said to me "anyone who doesnt cry will keep all those tears inside and become miserable"

We are both Scorpio, his Dad is Virgo....he finds it hard to show his feelings. He was raised by two rather "detached" parents

Kids grow up so quickly dont they......I feel it is so important to listen to them.......

Imagine a child who was raised by two cold or indifferent parents....and the child was very much in need of loving expression...wouldnt that be very sad As parents we have such a huge influence on our children dont we?

Jacob said to me the other day...'you are a very sensitive woman arent you mum, the most sensitive I ever met'.... he is 8 years old...

Bless him....

Sue: I know just what you are talking about..I have a Pisces son and he shows his feelings to me all the time. We get each other. On the other hand my son thinks his dad is mean and he too is a Virgo and he does not show him lots of love the way that I do. My sons dads dad is a Aqua and well you already know how they are. So it is passedd down from one to another, but I think my son will stop all the cycles with this and this may be the case with your son..

"We get each other"

Aaahhh....that is the expression that always comes to my mind about Jacob.....we are like minded.

Thanks MM for your post, and for understanding....I think a lot of men have problems showing their feelings....

As mothers, maybe, we can change that hey?

God bless your little Jacob. It's amazing how children know so much more than we do! I suffer so much for wanting to say "hello" and "I love you", and to know that it doesn't "touch" the "other", it's just devastating for me...

Thats strange, because I had a same-sign parent who was the "unexpressive" one while my virgo mother has always been the more expressive one. Maybe its her pisces rising? Unfortunately I got used to my cancer parent's unexpressiveness so much that "expressiveness" doesn't come naturally to me. And it could explain a whole lot of my man problems I created in the past.

As I see the Goddess re-emerging I embrace you women with little man souls to raise..and support you to raise them with all of the love and light I can muster....

I feel masculinity has had it so darn bad for 2000 plus years now, having driven the Goddess underground, and they are reaping the beds that they have made....

They took from themselves, sensitivity, feeling, crying, emotions....or atleast took from themselves the free expression of the forementioned!

It is up to us women to empower men, masculinity, embrace it, love it and raise our little boys to be the soulful men they are destined to be, with their Goddesses at their sides........

Good job Sue!!!!!!!

Blessed Be

Terri

It IS so important to embrace someone.
Do you know that premature babies need to be touched constantly else the chance of their survival is greatly dimished?

Ah...to be completely embraced is a beautiful thing. Very much like being listened to in your entirety.

""""Ah...to be completely embraced is a beautiful thing. Very much like being listened to in your entirety"""".

Aaahhh what beautiful words...and how true.

I believe it about the prem babes...

Read once that research shows that babies without physical contact can die sooner. A study in one country showed two sets of babies...both were fed the same but one set didnt have any physical contact....they died sooner...(I think these children were orphans) .

I read that for the immune system to be sustained we need 12 hugs a day....

Jacob said to me "I know what you want for Christmas mum....love, hugs and kisses"

It beats Channel no 5 anyday!

Wise child!

Aren't we all like wee little babes though - don't we THRIVE more when we feel loved and nurtured?

Sue - I love how your son talks about what he needs for himself, and at such a tender age, such a self-aware little man; he's a Scorpio through and through!

Yes Blue Topaz....we all need this to thrive, I agree...

Jacob is very open, and I encourage him to be this way too!!

It is difficult cos he has that Scorpio thing of "not having enough" in love....but as I am similar, I understand him...so we spend a lot of time telling each other "I love you".....it is almost as though I was meant to have a child like him...

I asked him what he liked best about Xmas, he replied "everything....the presents, the tree oh and the love and joy of course"

He is gonna be the "luuurrrve man" I think....
