Depends on your definition of "normal."I would hasten to say that anything related to the state of "love" is NOT normal in any manner  We share some similar aspects- Virgo Sun and mercury, as well as Scorp Rising. Yup, back in the day when I fell in love- you have never seen this level of obsession. Well, maybe you are feeling it now. In context, it is so normal.. but its also a given that the state of love is a form of mental disease we all wish to catch... MK IP: Logged |

I also share a Virgo Sun, Merc. and Venus
I have lotsa Scorpio and an 8th house Pluto, too.I love the honeymoon phase of a relationship... I love the Sun/Uranus and Venus/Uranus aspects i get when I am involved with someone a few years older than I. That initial rush of excitement, butterflies, and anticipation.... I think about them constantly. Replay things over and over... Is that obsession? Maybe...
I always thought that my Virgo Venus was also to blame.. for going overboard on occasion.
For me, it also has to be a mental thang!
Engage my mind... my heart will follow...

Scorp rising?If so, that is downright creepy cuz those are all the same as mine.  lol I do the same thing when I get into someone. Not necessarily "in love" but when I'm really feeling someone and like them a lot. But I might just be an obsessive person in general. I also get "obsessed" over music/musicians, books/writers, art/artists, etc. Anything that piques my fancy, stirs my imagination, and touches my heart. Just enjoy it. The brain when in love exhibits the same symtoms as when insane. So for in love thats perfectly normal hun, I've been in love ( and boy is it going nowhere) for six months that I know of....I found it all very disconcerting. AND HE IS AN AQUA...so I really should just join a nunnery it would be easier, I keep on trying to distract myself with other men. You just have to ride it out IP: Logged |

And doesn't astrology add another interesting dimension to the obsession? Then you can waste hours more reading Love Signs and comparing your charts and basically creating an entire one-sided relationship with a man who might barely know you. You might even have your first fight without him actually knowing you as more than a casual acquaintance. Everything will be going smoothly... you'll be reading his signals at work or school or wherever and then confirming them with his chart and your composite... sure you are made for each other...
And then it happens! You find a Uranus aspect that does not look good in your future/futures.
WELL! If he is just going to leave me someday ANYWAY... WHAT on Earth is the use!
The next day is the day he inevitably speaks to you for more than a minute and you give him the cold shoulder.
After all, you are still ticked that he will someday cheat on you and leave you!!!LOL
Whose got that Alice in Wonderland quote about us all being crazy? I'm nuts, yer nuts, we're all nutz. Yah, that about covers it.

Ohhh gosh, I get VERY obsessed! I attribute it to my moon in the 8th. Also, I've got a lot of quindeciles in my chart. Noel Tyl, the astrologer, says that these are obsessive-compulsive aspects. When you have them with someone (in synastry) you can be obsessed about each other PROVIDED you both have quindeciles between planets in your natal charts. If one person has these and the other person doesn't (in their natals), then the person who has them gets obsessed about the other. here's some info, check it out, my fellow-obsessors!

Okay my fellow Virgoettes!

I too am inflicted with can't get him out of my mind in the beginning...
As a matter of fact I'm going through it right now!!!I've been into this guy for a few months, could've had him by now but my trainer told me so scary things about him and drugs, what I believe was a lie about him....long story short... last night, I'm on the elliptical but I saw him when I first walked into the gym and I could feel my face light up on first sight. He had to have seen it. Anyway, I didn't go upstairs and hit the weights right away but he was upstairs hitting weights. And he was at the gym before me. Dang! I should've gone earlier! Anyway, so, as I'm finishing my cardio, he walks out and he looks at me, no, GLARES at me... Like giving me the sensual, lustful eyes. HE'S NEVER BEEN BOLD ENOUGH TO DO THAT BEFORE. Well, in the beginning we used to flirt a lot. Anyway, I gave them back to him, naturally. And so now we know, we are definitely attracted to each other and we can't do anything now but act on it!... And now I just want it to happen, even now, I want it to happen between us. If it weren't for the Yoga, I would've busted by now!!! I wonder what his sign is. Like, out of all the good looking guys in gym, he's the one I want. From the beginning, first sight, I felt it. I remember the moment we checked each other out. And then I found out he's a TV writer too, and he's got this "wild" way. You know, inhibited. I can't wait to find out what his sign is. Maybe Aquarius. Leo. He's exciting. Hopefully not Aries. No, please not Aries So, I'm right there with y'all...
