I'll try to help you with some of my personal experience, though there are many people here who would definitely give you few better explanations on Gemini/Capricorn relationship.
First, you probably already now that it is more than the Sun sign that makes us what we are, so it would be good if you had date and times of birth of both of you, which would put some more light on whether you are compatible or not.
Also, I hope he's not toooo old for you, please be careful there..
I'm a Gemini, and I have never been involved romantically with a Capricorn, but have a lot of Capricorns around me.
First, my Mum is one, and we get on perfectly..
Too,too good..she's amazing human being!
We understand each other emotionally so well, that I don't think I would ever be so close with anyone as I am with her.
Ok, she is Mum, so the close bond should be expected, but still she is a Capricorn who gets perfectly well with a Gemini.
She's more grounding, and that's exactly what I need.
Because she doesn't impose it on me «violently».
Very calm way, and I think Geminis need that.
Capricorn friends that I have are so reliable; I can always count on them, and I respect that, feeling the importance and need for their stability.
Ok, yes, sometimes I disappear lol, but they never take it as something bad, on contrary, they love my elusiveness; they say it's interesting, so different from, what they call, their «boring» nature.
And for me, they are everything but boring!
I find them deep, interesting; their simplicity in some things speak more that a thousand of Gemini's words.
They have that strange humour also, that I love so much.
I rarely laugh, but they are those who can really make me laugh…
I just love them
And I feel they love me too.
Our emotional understanding is so great, because when I fly high, they instinctively put some soft ground for me to land on, and when they are walking too hard on the ground, I put them on «my» trampoline so that they can jump, and feel a fresh air!
Very fulfilling relationship, that between me and Capricorns, and what's most important, with no hard feelings or arguments..
We just seem to solve every problem in the most beautiful way; so that it is hardly felt like a «problem».
The flow of energy between us is just wonderful.
I don't know whether it is because I have Venus in Taurus, but we really get on well..
See if you have anything in the air element, it might give a big plus to your relationship.
And now..
Since all I said till now was good, I must say that Gemini men are a little bit different, at least those that I met..
They are charming and lovely, but can be QUITE elusive; there are many things and people that they're interested in, so it's hard to keep them very close…
But..they re lovely, and they can make you smile, and if you have patience with them, and don't get offended too easily, you might be able to keep your Gemini close enough..
