He is, hands down, the most caring man I've ever known. And forgiving. Hence we are still friends.

I've had the flu now for five days, and my bf is away for three days, maybe four. This morning I woke up and thought, I wish someone would look after me, bring me cups of tea etc. Well my ex is feeling sorry for me because I've suffering with this flu, so he's buying me something for dinner and he just brought me a cup of tea. I know that if I asked him, he would look after me and bring me cups of tea all day long... I'm a LITTLE uncomfortable with it. I appreciate it lots!!! But I don't want to take advantage. It's only one cup of tea and he's bringing me ONE dinner... should I feel overly bad about this? I do feel slightly guilty...

Don't feel guilty! Always accept kindness for you deserve it. Remember everyone is in your life for a reason and they are ALWAYS needed at some point. Don't take advantage, just let him know how much you appreciate him. Sending get well hugs your way!

He's a Virgo but I've always thought his rising sign is water (either Cancer or Pisces - the eyes are so light blue, they look Piscean - but he collects and hoards things like a Cancerian).

Thanks for the kind words! Long story why I feel a bit guilty... ie although I'm accepting now that I did what was right for me, I broke his heart by hooking up with my current bf. He didn't deserve to have his heart broken like that after five years with me... the whole thing was just... yeah. So I suppose I think I don't deserve anything nice from him.

Well, I'm sure it taught both of you a lesson. I'm sure he has forgiven you now its time for you to forgive youself. Appreciate him he sounds like a great friend.(lucky you)

Yes. It's taken me a long time to really start forgiving myself. I'm just the kind of person who really can't stand to hurt another person's feelings, and that was the worst thing I've ever done to anyone in my life. I've never devastated anyone before. I'm a grand water trine, so I'm very sensitive! I would just hate to take advantage of his niceness.
