Holy synchronicity, Jupiter's Girl. I was thinking about that right before you posted.

I'm thinking it isn't the most comfortable for most men, since it will highlight his feminine side and your masculine energy; specifically your masculine sexual energy will touch his feminine energy. I guess the strength of that would depend on the degree of the aspect and whether your Mars was masculine or feminine and his Venus was masculine or feminine.

There is a discussion about Linda's Love Signs and we brought up using it for aspects other than Sun Signs (like his Venus interacting with your Mars) and I had been thinking that I didn't mention how you can use the Aries Woman/Libra Man type sections of the book to your advantage when looking at a Mars/Venus aspect like the one you are describing. You can look up his Venus as the "woman" and your Mars as the "man" and see how the masculine/feminine energies of that flavor react and interact with each other.
I have an Aqua Mars so I think stuff like that is interesting, but it isn't for everyone.

Throwing the moons (feminine) into that mix would also be interesting. That is how I first started using the book like that. Reading his Moon sign as the "woman" and my Sun sign as the "man" in addition to the traditional way to read the sections. The inter-relations of his 12 major aspects with your 12 is enough to keep a relationship interesting for a lifetime. Who needs polygamy?

You should post this in the general astrology forum- I'll bet you will get more answers. Interesting question. I've got a double whammy conjunct mars-venus, each a 3 degree orb. I think I can tell when he's falling back on my mars-his venus connection (in Pisces); I don't like it, from a woman's perspective. I much prefer when he's acting from his mars and appealing to my venus (in Cap.).

Jupiter's Girl,

It is soothing to read your writing.

Hmmm... what an interesting perspective. I really enjoy a well-written explanation of things that seem obvious, or that we normally take for granted. You words gave me a lot of insight on the subject. I'm a Libra with double Cap and some strong Mars and Moon energy to spice up my Venus/Saturn energy. I'm a bit conflicted with my energies so it basically is an "any way the astrological wind blows" scenario, on which aspect of me takes charge. I think that I view my Mars, Venus, and Moon energy as impulsive, romantic, idealistic energy that is contrary to the future path I see ahead of me and I have let Saturn take over for now because my past choices have just been exhausting. It probably has something to do with my progressive chart or progressions, but I haven't explored that aspect of astrology so I don't have more than a beginner's view of it.
Either way, I can see that although I might find switching roles a 'Mars in Aqua adventure', my feminine, receptive, Cap energy would probably cause a standstill in that energy interplay.
This is an excellent learning experience for me. I can see a pattern now in my choices of past partners where I swing from choosing a partner who is too feminine to choosing a partner who is too masculine. It seems obvious now that I would require a balance.

How enlightening!
I pray you receive the information and enlightenment you are seeking on your relationship topic, Jupiter's Girl. I only wish I could have helped more.

Cap Girl

Yes, I think Capricorn influenced girls are just a little old fashioned when it comes to romance.
