That's because it can go either way...like anything I suppose. Good or bad. I'm a Scorp and Cappys are my least fav sign of the zodiac. That doesn't mean I have no Cappy friends or that I think they have no redeeming qualities. However, in a relationship, the pairing doesn't work for me... However Cappy and Scorp are supposed to be a pretty good match. Hence the conflicting info. I wish I could tell you more astrological details about the pairing, but I don't think I could likely say it any better than what you're finding online. IMO the clincher will be ASC/Moon/Venus/Mars placements. This could be a match made in heaven or a case of mutual respect but nothing more. IP: Logged |

Cappies are to detached sometimes, complicated, and to un-sexual.If they can't handle intensity then I suggest backing away from a Scorpio. IP: Logged |

I've never heard anyone call a Capricorn unsexual, nor have I ever heard of two feminine signs having irreconcilable sexual differences. I think the feminine sun sign natures are similar sexually.IP: Logged |

Thank you, AG. Yes, Caps are actually highly sexed, it just often takes a while for them to show that side, and they need to feel comfortable with the other person. Don't forget either, that Scorpio is a sign of extremes, and that goes with sex as well. I've known several Scorpios that are uncomfortable with sex, and can and will go without it for a long time. I broke up with a Scorpio for this very reason. He could have cared less whether we were ever intimate. It was just not important to him, and it was important to me.GF, Cap/Scorp is actually a fairly common pairing. A friend of mine's parents have been married for over 25 years and they are this combo. She's the Cap, he's the Scorp. Scorpluv is with a Cap too. I haven't seen her post here for a while, but she's been with her Cap for quite some time. Just like any union, it will work sometimes, and sometimes it won't. The two signs share a lot of similarities though, and of course the rest of their charts would play a part as well. IP: Logged |

Well.. Is it passionate? Is he jealous? Do you communicate with ease? Do you ever feel ignored because his priorities are different? Do you have common goals? *you know, those kind of things*

I apologize for being so late to respond. Hopefully this one will go through. I am going to have to break it up in segments. I'll come back to it as time permits. I hope my replies are at least a little useful. My relationship is constantly causing me to evolve and become self-aware. I've learned more about my self in this relationship than I ever could have on my own. Is it passionate? Sometimes too much. We can go through times when everything is amplified and then we get emotionally/mentally exhausted and tone it down. It becomes a little normal and can even be a little boring during those toned down times... but we are usually looking forward to the quiet at that point. I think that as much as my Capricorn friend is practical and emotions make him a little uncomfortable and puzzle him, he is pretty fascinated by them at the same time. I realize he doesn't live his life through passion or emotions. I do... so when he is being his practical self, I have to let him be and not expect for him to step outside of who he is in order to please me (unnecessary expectations) and on the opposite end, he is realizing that because he is wired more by mind than emotion, he shouldn't try to rein me in when I'm doing what comes natural to me. (tolerance) Is he Jealous?
I don't know. If he is, he's good about concealing it. He told me that he trusts me. Edit: Sorry about all the typos. __________________________________________ Scorpio sun, venus, mars, mercury and uranus Libra moon, pluto and asc.

Ahh very nice! It seems like a balanced relationship. My dad's a Scorpio with Scorpio Venus and my mom is an Aqua but with a Scor. moon and Cappy Venus. Dad used to be very openly jealous, while mom was more "quiet" but determined. She would discreetly "eliminate her enemies", unlike dad who would react quite passionately in a similar position. I once asked her "come on mom, weren't you ever jealous of dad like he was?" She didn't give me a direct answer (her eyes said otherwise) but i am pretty sure she did, and she knew how to cover it up VERY VERY WELL. What are your placements?

Hi Green Fairy,I am a scorp (female) and have been dating a cappy (male) for just over a year. And, like 1scorp, we too both have venus in scorp - I know what that means on an intimate level....sizzle, sizzle. On a platonic level, I have many good friendships and close associations with other cappies. And, strangely enough, my cappy partner has many scorp buddies. We even have friends that are partnered cap/scorp. I think the association is mostly successful because scorpions are usually very analytical and Capricorns are very level-headed and straight talkers. Neither sign suffers fools lightly. You asked: Is it passionate? Is he jealous? Do you communicate with ease? Do you ever feel ignored because his priorities are different? Do you have common goals? Yes, he is very passionate and very sexy. But, I did not see this, or feel this way about him at first. I fell in love with him from the inside out which I think makes it even more special. He can simply touch my hand and it sends goose-bumps up my spine. Is he jealous….yes! I have to say, this really surprised me because I am so loyal in a relationship, I don’t give my partner any reason to be jealous. But, for some reason, he is. I remember earlier this year, we went to a seminar/workshop with 2000 people. During the day, we had to complete several exercises, then find a person we didn’t know to share our experience. After lunch, my cappy suggested we sit apart, so we could experience the seminar from a different perspective. At the next break, he told me he watched me partner a tall, very good-looking male and he felt very insecure. I just laughed when he told me because seated on the other side of this very good-looking male was his beautiful wife. Um, needless to say, we didn’t sit apart after that. For the most part, there is no problem with our communication – as each of us feels able to discuss, deal, and resolve issues as they arise. He did try to recently hide something from me, but I saw through it and just as I was about to confront him, he told me the full story. (Tsk, tsk….why try to hide something from a scorp, lol!) I do not know if this is true of all cappies but my cappy cuts ties really easily (like for example – he moved on pretty quickly from his ex-wife). This is probably the direct opposite of a scorp, who, because they take a very long time to take someone into their inner circle of trust – they don’t readily throw people away once they get there (unless of course they have betrayed you). My cappy is highly energized and, extremely motivated. It’s something that I really admire in him. He has many goals and priorities that are different to mine (I tend to make mine up as I go along) but I don’t see this as a problem because at a basic level, we have very similar values. I also have to agree with 1scorp that this relationship has taught me so much about myself. I have definitely grown (and quite quickly too). I know that at one stage, he told me that he believed I loved too hard and he was worried that he could not commit to me on an ongoing basis at the same level that I commit to him. So, I can relate to 1scorp’s comments too about getting emotionally/mentally exhausted and having to tone it down. But I think this was more about a fear of commitment than any zodiacal difference. Life is never boring with him, that’s for sure. with love purple_scorp

After reading purplescorp's reply... I believe that each individual Scorpio and Capricorn's astrological placements and aspects color each relationship differently. I think the base foundation of the relationship with Scorpio and Capricorn is pretty consistent, but there are differences in each individual relationship. She and I may both experience similar things... but for different reasons. I noticed that there are different dynamics working though her relationship. Some things she experiences I don't... and I'm sure it's vice versa. Every person and/or relationship, regardless of sign, are different. Or could just be that both my Capricorn friend and myself, as individuals, have pretty heavy Uranus aspects. I don't know. I've been interested in astrology for years and still have a hard time comprehending it all. ___________________________________________ Scorpio sun, venus, mars, mercury and uranus Libra moon, pluto and asc.

AG:I noticed on the Sag/Cap thread that you gave your personal description of a composite chart. I have a hard time making sense of composites. Composite Sun in Sagittarius suggests that you'd both lighten up a bit as a result of your relationship. It's in the 2nd house, which seems like it would be extremely comfortable for you considering how you're already so focused on your own security. With Libra as your Composite Ascendant, you probably present a charming face as a couple. With your joint Moon there in the 1st, your emotional natures may be wrapped up in promoting this Libran image. Here's another interesting thing with your Composite Moon. It is the ruler of your joint 10th house, the house of career. "The tenth composite house is similar in meaning to the tenth house in a birth chart. It tells about a couple's development, and how they establish their uniqueness in the world. Because of this, the tenth house refers to status and reputation," according to AstroClick Partner. Your development as a couple is linked to your Moon in Libra in the 1st house, which I guess makes sense since both of you apparently have Moon in Libra to begin with. I see a square between Saturn and Venus. I'm not sure how that plays out in a relationship. Perhaps the discipline (Saturn) in [showy - (Leo)] Humanitarianism (11th) chips away at your money reserves (Venus in the 2nd). That same Saturn also positively aspects your Moon, so whatever that Saturn in Leo in the 11th energy is, it's helpful to your prominent Moon. Oooh, Pluto on the Ascendant. I didn't see that. Transformation and/or power is combined with your being as a couple. Could be disruptive or could be beneficial, or a combination of both. It makes a positive trine to Jupiter in the 8th. The 8th house, amongst other things represents other people's money. It's an interesting picture. I wonder if it has any political connotations with Libra being so prominent, and our nation's Sun sign being on your joint MC. IP: Logged |

If you want to understand a Sign, one of the best ways is to place it on the Ascendant, and consider the pairings of signs and house-cusps. With Capricorn on the Ascendant: Taurus rules the 5th Leo rules the 8th These are the two houses connected with sex, and Taurus and Leo are the two signs, other than Scorpio and Aries, most often credited with sex appeal and a strong sex drive. So, yeah, just from that, I'd say Cappies are fairly sexual. Earth signs, in general, are very sensual. Capricorn has a connection to the horned god, Pan, and has a very devlish, abandoned, earthy kind of sexuality, not usually apparent on the surface. Cappies often do have a kind of wicked look about them, which I, for one, find rather sexy. hsc (Scorpio)

I have too noticed this pairing. For instance, my mother is a Scorpio Sun and my father(name is Joe) a Capricorn Sun.. they were together for ten years.. After him my mother dated another Capricorn named Joe and then after him another Capricorn named Joe... Now she is with another Capricorn but his name isn't Joe. Another example if my uncle who is also a Scorpio Sun was engaged to a Capricorn female and is now married to a different Capricorn Sun female who is now pregnant. -Off topic but I am currently dating a Scorpio Sun named Joe. I usually have a tendency to attract Capricorns and I think my Pluto in Scorpio in the first house can mildly explain this.IP: Logged | |
