Hey all,I just wondered your impressions of saggie and cappie together. Either as friendship or romantic. As a saggie i never thought I would connect with a cap. But I have to say I admire their ambition and dedication to their career. It kinda makes me wanna jump in with them and get involved. I admire their seeming control (whearas I seem to put my foot in it or get carried away with something.) I find them a bit of an enigma, and that just makes me want to get to know them and tell each other our secrets (which I would trust him/her with.) Those are just my thoughts on this combo. I think sag and cap make a great couple or they can be very good friends if they share some other good synastry aspects. I completely agree with you about caps, they attract me the same way, it may be because of my cap descendant or venus. Communication is a big problem with caps in my opinion, they don't open up themselves very quicky, but for example I have mercury conjunct mercury with a cap and communication is wonderful between us when we have the chance to talk. Capricorns can be moody from to time and they become quiet for a while but you just have to be patient, it passes.IP: Logged |

Yes, patience, patience, patience.(Which I'm not very good at.) But I do have a cap asc/ cancer desc. I really understood when linda goodman said that a saggie shouldnt start yelling or pushing a cappie in an argument. I found this out first hand in an heated argument with a cappie love interest where he was yelling at me for some guy trying to kiss me. I yelled back and got a bit hot headed when in all actuality i just wanted to hug and make up. But he went all cold on me and started not to listen and told me he didnt care about me. Soooo, i let him walk away and made up with him later when we were both calm. So, is that a typical saggie/cappie type response to an argument?And also its a fire/earth combo. Ive always heard that fire and air is like magic and it takes work for earth and fire. But i guess the other placements matter too. Am i on the right track? Sparkling IP: Logged |

It probably depends on the age and maturity of the couple.I'm a male Capricorn with a [female] Sag. I'm 34. She's 41. She's the best friend I've ever had in a relationship. We get along really easily. She also has a Capricorn Ascendant. I have a Gemini Ascendant, so I've got Sag on my DC ruling my 7th house. I've also got three planets in Sag including my Mercury which conjuncts her Sun. Talking is pretty easy between us, and always has been. At times I have been somewhat silent about how I feel, but she's never over-reacted about it. Between us I'm the more "jolly" as she likes to put it. She comes off as the serious one with her Cap Ascendant, multiple t-squares, and near Grand Cross in mutable signs. I am the calm one, and she is the fluctuating one. We're both pretty highly Mutable, which sometimes causes an issue when we need to come to a decision. We're very indecisive. We've been working on this for over a year now, and I think it's getting easier for both of us. We don't have big fights. If either of us were to yell it would be her, but she still hasn't yet. Arguments slip away fast, and have never threatened our relationship. It is weird with the Woman having the masculine Sun, and the man having the feminine Sun. I am more dressy, and into my clothes and looks than she is. She's more into sports and exercise. IP: Logged |

Hey,thanks for your reply. Interesting stuff. I am 23 and my cappie guy friend is 22. I think he has a saggie or cappie moon. He has venus and libra in pisces whilst i have those in libra.Im not sure how those two signs would relate to one another. Yes, i do come across as serious with my cappie asc. Probably helps. Capricorns appreciate seriousness in others, because it indicates that the others will be sympathetic to their own seriousness.That's another good thing about our relationship - I don't feel judged. I don't think we fully understand each other, but we're pretty intensely respectful of one another even when we don't understand where the other person is coming from. IP: Logged |

What is your venuses?I think thats important for love aspects right?? Im a libra venus (and mars) so feel like i am searching for a prince all the time. But then i love my saggie independence. Im not sure how to relate to my cappie's pisces venus. I dont feel so watery! IP: Logged |

My Venus is Sag, which is obviously perfect for our match. Hers is Aquarius, so she's looking for someone unique in a girl.  Her Mars is in Capricorn, so once again that bodes well for us. Mine is in Scorpio. We have sextiling signs for both those planets. The only bad part is that her Venus squares my Mars...at least by sign. IP: Logged |

Leo and Capricorn are somewhat competitive energies I think.His Moon being in Sag should help immensely. It will give him a natural empathy for Sags. Libra and Pisces Venuses? IP: Logged |

yep, he has a pisces venus whilst I have a libra venus. Yeah, leo versus saggie moon. Fiery combo but would keep a friendship/romance interesting I guess. But i have no idea how to relate to pisces signs. I dont have any water in my chart. IP: Logged |

His Pisces Venus signifies to a certain degree that he's romantically drawn to Pisces. As a Sag, you have Piscean good looks, but your looks aren't girly like a Pisces. He'll enjoy the way you act, though, because you are Mutable like Pisces plus he's got that Sag Moon, which gives him some insight into how you are.IP: Logged |

Also, as i have both mars and venus in libra im very attracted to a guy with good looks which my guy does have. He is very charming too, his hair reminds me of a leo mane, i wonder if he has leo in him, perhaps asc??It's funny though, my ex bf was a libra sun/saggie moon and venus. We got on great but the chemistry wasnt that exciting, more friendly and comfortable. Whearas with the Cappie, because i cant read him very well...he is very enticing and when we do laugh and he lightens up (saggie moon) its like the rooms lit up :-) IP: Logged |

Here's a little info on houses: http://www.astrology.com/aboutastrology/interpreting/houses/index.html They add another shade to the interpretation. For instance, my Capricorn Sun in the 8th house. Scorpio rules the 8th house. Therefore my Sun will have the Capricorn traits plus a certain Scorpionic bent. My Virgo Moon is in the 5th house, which is ruled by Leo. The 5th house deals with self-expression, creativity, performing arts, hobbies, photography, etc. I play a couple instruments. I'm in an Improvisational acting class. I love sitcoms. A lot of Capricorn in his first house? I'm guessing that his ascendant is late Sagittarius. Is that correct? If so, that kind of helps (as you have a Cap Ascendant and he has a Sag Ascendant each of which ought to allow you to relate to one another).One of the neat things about dating a sign that's right next to yours is that your composite (merged) charts will have it's Sun in familiar territory. This kind of chart is created by taking the midpoint of each of the two people's charts. For a Capricorn Sun and a Sag Sun, it's always going to stay in either Sag or Cap, which is nice because you relate to both signs pretty well. Here's our composite:

Hi AG,Thanks for that info! That makes a lot of sense. I see you have a moon in leo too! how do you find it? Ive been told lots of times that I seem to think i am royalty....but this is usually when i am trying to hide my emotions and it comes across in that way. The chart above is called a "Composite" chart. It's my girlfriend and my charts put together. (You can see two sets of birth information at the top of the chart) As you can see the Sun is in Sag. It's at exactly the middle point between her and my Suns. All of the planets are positioned exactly in the middle of where our individual planets lay. So this chart is supposed to indicate the personality of our relationship. I don't have a Leo Moon. Apparently Leo is exactly between my girlfriend's Gemini Moon, and my Virgo Moon. As a couple we have a Leo Moon. I don't know if we act like royalty when we're together, since we're usually so casual when we're hanging out. I suppose we like to eat like we're royalty.  So, as I was saying, when you date a person of the sign next to yours (like Sag and Cap) the Sun of your Composite(/Relationship) Chart will always fall in the same sign as one of your Suns. For my girlfriend and I, our relationship's Sun is in Sag, which is cool because her Sun is in Sag as well, and I have three planets in Sag. Hello AG,Thanks again for all your tips and pointers!! I really appreciate it. Okay, i have a question, how does the composite chart differ from synastry? I realise I can go off and research this myself (which I will do now) but its nice to have an informed opinion too. This Cappie is currently in Mexico for another 9 months. So it will be a while before I see him again. Would the composite or synastry chart indicate this? Or would that be a progressed chart?? Meanwhile, I would patiently wait for him to come back but I have been asked out on a date by a scorpio. He is very sweet and part of me thinks I should date in the meantime and learn and have some experiences. But i get all scared and unsure of myself. Sparkling IP: Logged |

Composite Chart merges two charts into one using the midpoints to come up with the placements.Synastry Charts keep the charts separate, and instead compares the two charts to one another. In a synastry chart, you have two wheels, one outside the other, so you can see where one person's planets fall in the other person's chart:

Thanks AG! thats cleared things up. Well the Scorp is playing hot and cold...and that doesnt sit very well with. It's either straight down the line or not at all. Sounds harsh but I dont like mind games.
