I met a Cap guy with Aqua Venus (afflicted), Cap Moon and Saggie Mars...he is 31 and he claims he has never ever been in love...is it possible? is it normal for someone with Aqua Venus to find it so difficult to fall in love or he has some deep insecurities or, I mean, how is it possible?

my last two boyfriends were venus in aquarius. i still haven't figured out how it works in their charts, but it almost seems like it prevents them from achieving true intimacy, somehow. but i'm not sure if it was this placement or not.

My ex-husband the Saj had a aqua in venus too. He has admitted to me that he does not know what love is. Even after being together 4 years, getting married, and having a child together, at the end of our relationship, he says he never loved me.

Aqua in Venus...go figure.

Approximately 1/12th of the men in the world have Venus in Aquarius -- how can you possibly write off 250,000,000 people???

A few decades ago I lived for 2 years with an Aquarian Sun/Moon/Mercury/Venus/Chiron. There were no problems in "achieving true intimacy"..... it depends on the *person* not the astro placement.

Peri, it IS possible that at 31 he has never fallen in love..... some people have incredibly high standards (read, "picky"), some never meet a person they really connect with, and some have inner issues, yes??

My brother is a Sag Sun / Moon in Scorp / Venus in Aqua. He is married to a Sun Scorp / Moon Aqua / Venus Aqua. They have been together for 7 years and are devoted to each other and he loves having his two sons. He is very family oriented and is close to my Dad, mom and myself.

It all depends on the person.

of course it depends on the person, and i think one should generally assume there is (or should be) an asterisk after every single astrological asessment saying such, and if there isn't, it should be recalled by the reader.

however, making generalizations, within certain (very flexible) perameters is sort of part of the nature of assessing astrological placements, is it not?

i am just thinking venus = the way we love, aquarius = impersonal, emotionally aloof, on a higher plane, etc. all of this, generally speaking. so, there can be a TENDENCY or inclination to perhaps have difficulty with intimacy. i don't think this is a stretch. and of course it depends on the person.

..and i did say "almost", "seems like" and "not sure", which all leave much room for exception and nuance.

You are a gem!!! (as in diamond, not twins )
Astrology *IS* generalized characteristics and personality traits. But when it crosses the line and becomes labels and utterly conclusive absolute judgments about a huge segment of the human population, then it ceases to serve us in increasing our understandiing of each other and becomes a liability -- it LIMITS our growth as spiritual beings. THAT is what I take issue with, not the behavioral descriptions.....

The fella I spent some time with was not the aloof-type. I don't know his time of birth so don't know what house(s) all that Aqua energy played out in. He was a daydreamer, and could be distant, but he was never cold. Also, I gave him enough space to do his own thing -- I'm pretty low-maintenance. The mental-meshing is a very attractive and exciting connection to Airy people. Both our Suns and Venuses were trine, so it was a good fit

cool, zala!

it is a fine balance that is forsure. that's why astrology is as frustrating as it is fascinating, sometimes. cuz you never know how far you should take a generalization.. so much is observation, but then, how do you know *exactly* what you are observing, etc etc..

and of course then there are semantics. one persons intimacy is another person's walk through hell, etc!

Venus in Aqua may be aloof and guarded, but when they fall, they fall HARD.

i have aqua in venus and i have never been in love, but then i am only 20 so i guess there is still time for me
I do find that I really really have to trust someone to get close, i also have to respect them and look up to them. Immaturity is the biggest turn off! Once I trust someone though it still kind of takes a little while for me to open up emotionally, but once there I am an open book. Also I am extremely faithful and devoted. I am a cap sun and a moon leo. I hope that my leo moon will help balance out my aloof cap and aqua. I don't want to go through life without finding out what love is. how sad
